    Might be something in this.........

Surprised we're taking such an interest in Pep too since we had to sell him to fund our purchases........

Not sure what to make of that. I'm sure other clubs would want him, so perhaps Jim is just commenting on the fact that there have been inquiries about him. I hope we don't sell him.

Everyone has a price (no pun intended). If a club meets our valuation of any player then we have to consider it.

    Default Adlene Guedioura

I reckon Davies probably would be open to selling him if a good offer came in, don't think he sees Guedioura as disciplined enough for the role he wants Leadbitter or similar.

Don't mind me though I'm just shit stirring.
He is quite clearly not indispensable though and probably more dispensable than some other players in his opinion.

What worries me most about if we sell Guedioura is what would happen on the #nffc timeline. Some of the people there worship him like a god.

Adlene has clearly built up a very good rapport with the Forest support and is lionised by many of the home faithful.

But I suppose like any player he has his price. I'd not want us to sell him, other than for a stupendous offer, simply because we have no adequate replacement.

For me, replacing Guedioura for Leadbitter would be a backwards step; but then, I am not the Forest manager!

„I believe in socialism because it seems more humanitarian, rather than every man for himself and 'I'm alright jack' and all those arsehole businessmen with all the loot. I made up my mind from viewing society from that angle. That's where I'm from and there's where I've made my decisions from. That's why I believe in socialism“

„Don't forget you're alive. 'Cause sometimes when you walk around the city and you're in a bad mood, you can think, hey, wait a minute, we're alive! We don't know what the next second will bring and what a fantastic thing this is. This can get easily forgotten in the routine of life, and that's something I'm trying to bring to my attention at all times. Don't forget you're alive. We're not dead, you know. This is the greatest thing.”

In terms of quality of the player I would agree with that, but if that situation were to arise and we were to raise say £2m profit from the sale of Gued after taking Leadbitters fee off I think for the entire club that would be a great bit of business.

It may be a drop in quality but not a significant one, there is much worse we could stick in that position than Leadbitter.

If you are going to replace Guedioura , replace him with someone better , not worse and Leadbitter is definitely not better than Geddy. He's a distinctly average championship standard bog player , not a progressive player that can play in the premiership. Midfield is the most crucial part of the team , why strengthen other parts of the team only to weaken the most important part ?

Guedioura's replacement will only need replacing should we get to the prem. Keep Gued and save a job for when we get there

Keep Gued but not as a defensive midfielder. He needs to be able to get forward more and not have pivotal defensive duities.
