    Coffee > Tea.

„I believe in socialism because it seems more humanitarian, rather than every man for himself and 'I'm alright jack' and all those arsehole businessmen with all the loot. I made up my mind from viewing society from that angle. That's where I'm from and there's where I've made my decisions from. That's why I believe in socialism“

„Don't forget you're alive. 'Cause sometimes when you walk around the city and you're in a bad mood, you can think, hey, wait a minute, we're alive! We don't know what the next second will bring and what a fantastic thing this is. This can get easily forgotten in the routine of life, and that's something I'm trying to bring to my attention at all times. Don't forget you're alive. We're not dead, you know. This is the greatest thing.”

According to published, peer reviewed research, Yorkshire Tea Bags contain plastics which are released as micro and nano particles when immersed in hot water.
Many million plastic particles are released, all of which find themselves into the water courses where they are absorbed by planton and organisms at the bottom of the food chain.
Virtually all sea-food consumed by humans is micro-plastic polluted.
It is unclear as to the impact this has on the body, but I reckon it is likely to be less than good.
Typhoo do not use any plastic in their tea bags, and should be a tea-bag of choice for those still using tea-bags (96% of tea sold world-wide is in tea-bags).
We avoid any doubt over the matter by only drinking leaf tea, preferring Sainsbury's fair-trade pure Assam or, in the afternoons, their pure Ceylon.

No way I'm switching from Yorkshire tea. The penguins can bollocks..

(I'll buy the loose leaf version from now. I prefer that anyway)

PG have announced they have just removed plastic from their tea-bags.
They are now looking to replace the plastic film from the boxes as they plan to be totally plastic free by the end of this year.
As for te-leaves: they are much better quality and give a more refreshing cuppa than tea-bags do.
As my old grannie used to say "they sweep up the floor and but the sweepings into them tea-bags".

Edit: and emphatically No! This is not a piss take.

We switched to Typhoo by accident, it was the only stuff in the shop during lockdown and we’ve stuck with it since.

Is that just you, or does the mem-sahib partake at Tiffin time as well?

Only those who will risk going too far can possibly find out how far one can go.

Tea bags are like eggs, they're only really good when they're fresh

Even Tetley tastes nice when you've brewed one from a new packet

Stick your coffee where the sun don't shine. You had me at teabags.

Carrefour here do a tea called Lord Nelson, bit odd given the connection. It's also crap tea, get loose Yorkshire Tea delivered from the UK, just need to add some crap to our pure spring water to get the true Yorkshire taste.

Stuck in traffic on the A1. I haven’t moved a single inch in 25 mins. Shit.

'Intelligence without ambition is a bird without wings' - Salvador Dali 1904-1989

I think 'odd' is a good thing. Oddness shows originality, uniqueness and a desire to be different from the masses. Oddness is, maybe, only deemed 'odd' by the majority who are considered less odd but only by their own blinkered observations and understanding. Oddness should never be criticised but be encouraged to nurture, develop individualism and to explore the mind rather than conform to expectation and 'normality'. Many of the world's greatest works of art and prose were born from those minds many considered to be 'odd'.

Make sure you complete the online form on the gov.uk Website, before you Board, or you’ll be stood like a twat at the airport filling it in before you can go through passport-control.
