Faith in humanity restored. Did a job for a client in early 2020 and during the works he ran into financial difficulty. To help, I agreed to a sizable discount with no strings. Today, he calls me up to tell me he is now doing well again and wanted to 'settle-up'. Old school.

He told me that without my help he might have had to sell the Ferrari and would have certainly had to cancel the family holiday to Dubai and his wife's boob-job.

Bless, how is the young doctor doing after her accident? Are the cargo bikes still running?

When I had mine done, the nurse warned me that sometimes the prostrate check can cause an erection.
    Not for me I said.
But it does for me "she" replied.
    I thank you again...

Never really posted on this thread before seems quite cathartic - so "I've just"... found out a mate of mine has been diagnosed with Testicular cancer and it having the offending orb removed in the next few days.

Good old NHS moving quickly on this and from the research its sounds like if you're gonna get a cancer its the one to get - on average 99% survival for a year after diagnosis and if you survive that 98% chance of surviving the next 5 and after that you're considered "cured" I believe

So as he has been telling us - remember to check your plums my friends you never know what and when something's gonna strike. The stats suggest you're most as risk if you're white between 18-45 and he's a 50+ year old black man so who the fuck knows.

I liked your post HBB not because I like what's happened to your friend but I share his sentiments in the importance of checking regularly

    I hope he recovers

I've just learned that the song 'golden brown' was written by Cornwell after he had suffered a nasty bout of diarrhea while on holiday.

My mate once said "Ah, Goldfinger - that film always reminds me of being at school."
He was born in 1971, so I said, "did you watch it in class?"
"No," he says. "It's the flimsy bog roll they had in the toilets."

    Err

In his book*The Stranglers Song By Song,*Hugh Cornwell said that "'Golden Brown' works on two levels. It's about heroin and also about a girl. Essentially the lyrics describe how both provided me with pleasurable times."

I made up my mind from viewing society from that angle. That's where I'm from and there's where I've made my decisions from. That's why I believe in socialism“

„Don't forget you're alive. 'Cause sometimes when you walk around the city and you're in a bad mood, you can think, hey, wait a minute, we're alive! We don't know what the next second will bring and what a fantastic thing this is. This can get easily forgotten in the routine of life, and that's something I'm trying to bring to my attention at all times. Don't forget you're alive. We're not dead, you know. This is the greatest thing.”

No. He was a big fan of golden syrup and used to mix it in his chocolate brownies
Hence golden brown, texture like sun, he used to like them very crispy. Don’t know where you got the shits from.

They say you should never eat cheese just before bedtime. I was starving last night, so I decided to have half a dozen crackers with some cheddar last night.

I dreamt I was on holiday abroad with this fella.
