Default things you'll never see at The City Ground ever again...

the season of good will to all men is upon us yet again... so just for a bit of fun i thought i'd list a few things things that i remember during my 45yrs or so supporting Forest.....

sitting on wooden benches in the old 'East Stand'

The hotdog stand being pushed around the edge of the pitch before and during the game.

fans climbing up the floodlights to get a better view

    A B C D half time scores

and those of us that stood in the Trent end 'middle section' under the 'refreshments' sign... who remembers the 'trent end COPPER' P.C 1292

    You mean this refreshment sign....

I remember sitting between the steelwork & corrugated asbestos sheet at the back on top of the trent end rear wall with my mates.
I remember singing NODDY, NODDY, NODDY to the nutter that stood on his own in the East stand & used to Nod back & forward faster & Faster when we pushed forward.
I too remember the lads climbing the lights.
I remember the old grey haired programme seller that had a white tracksuit & used to walk in fron of the trent end shouting "programmes".
I remember jimmy gordon, the traininer with his magic sponge

The good old days & im only 46 years young

Great picture. I used to climb up and sit there the odd time.
Any Trent Enders from the 80's remember 'Doughnut'? The portly lad that started all the songs.

I think that might be the first time I've ever seen a photograph of the interior of the old Trent End, not how I imagined it to look at all. Does anyone have a photo of it from the banks of the trent? I've always imagined it to be a bit dingey like the terrace at Peterborough.

Haha, thats right. I remember watching the highlights of the 3-2 victory at Old Trafford when Colin Walsh scored off the post, we had a corner and you could hear Doughnut starting a song off on TV lol.
I wonder if he still goes?

Bloody hell yes! (never managed to get my dad to fork out for a forest/celtic one ).

I may be going mad but wasn't there some old guy who used to wander up and down in front of the trent end selling programs?
