The Noel Gallagher signature Gibson J150… it comes with the adidas sticker but you need to decide if you want to put it on or not.

By the looks of things Gibson's marketing department appear to have managed to charge about 2 grand extra for an Adidas sticker! From memory the J150 was the the cheap and cheerful part of the acoustic range?

    Still fools and their money.

„Don't forget you're alive. 'Cause sometimes when you walk around the city and you're in a bad mood, you can think, hey, wait a minute, we're alive! We don't know what the next second will bring and what a fantastic thing this is. This can get easily forgotten in the routine of life, and that's something I'm trying to bring to my attention at all times. Don't forget you're alive. We're not dead, you know. This is the greatest thing.”

I know our own Harvey is a fan but maybe she should be checking the vocals before pointing the finger at the bass player.

I thought this was quite amusing, part of it could have gone in the Coronavirus thread, part of it in the Whiskey thread but most of it belongs here. A half cut Hungarian bloke who just seems to love what he’s doing.

. He's so like my friend Zoltan out here. I don't go out drinking with Zoltan anymore it's far too dangerous.

Worth a look given its Japanese manufactured by Boss. I’m sure it will have its applications without becoming popular, like the Line 6 Variax. The Edge made good use of that.

Technology seems to be changing all the time. These basses use optical pick ups instead of the old ones.
Slightly out of my price bracket though. https://www.willcoxguitars.com/light...pickup-system/

Anyone remember the Gibson guitars with mechanical machine heads? From reading about them it seems they were problematic and most people replaced them.

    That’s them!

My old boss called me asking advice on a 50th birthday guitar purchase, he wanted something special as he’d only owned lower end stuff. I suggested the standard Gibsons as he likes traditional Rock music, then goes and buys one of these

I saw something similar not long back. It wasn't fixed to the guitar though you just put it on the machine heads. A few folk tested it and found it to be way out

I am a firm believer that Leo Fender got it right in 1950.

I liked the Etune thing to be honest. You don't really need quality of life improvements on a guitar though

They sorted out eh problem son the original, renamed it G-Force, and put it on the 2015 100 years of Les paul range - they were still unpopular and many people easily swapped them over to grovers.
Wouldnt mind a Les paul with them on myself, it would save me endless hours retuning the G lol

Tune your guitar by ear, you’ll be a better guitarist for it.

Agreed, but the thought of pressing a button and being able to play along to Marr in the backroom rather than dick about retuning sounds good to me
