I was talking to a man whose name you would all know and who I think is still on the Football League board or at least moves in very high circles with the football top brass. He told me the only penalty for failing to adhere to FFP was to be disbarred from entering European competitions which, given its likelihood, is hardly a factor in curbing spending by the likes of Fester and, potentially, Forest. He also said that if money was paid into the club as share capital, rather than a loan, then it didn't breach the rules anyway.

Being kicked out of Europe is the ultimate punishment in UEFA's version of FFP. Before that there'd be fines, points deductions, registration embargoes, etc.

The Football League are trying to bring in their own version, with their own set of punishments.

I have an Aunt who cleans the steps at the admaralty and often know's information, especially regards the financial implications for the club. Takeovers.....Information regarding who, what where why and how much are, as should be in such circumstances, totally confidential between a trusted handful of the parties involved.

The Doughty family via the merchant bank are in talks with an interetsed party, but No shit Sherlock if you posted that, hardly ground breaking news surrounding the club and it's future.

For what it's worth, a friend of mine who works at the club has said that there has been no Due Diligence done in the areas it would have been done in, were the club already sold. This doesn't discount that there is interest or offers, just that it's unlikely that there is any agreement in place yet, but almost certainly, the club has not been sold (are you reading OTT?)

As I know absolutely nothing of what is happening, but something of what isn't, does this mean I can claim to be ITK?

I wouldnt mind forest being owned by an american consortium. The only one I can remember being truly awful was hicks and gilette at liverpool - but then even that was a success, as it made a mockery of liverpool.

The derby owners havent done that bad a job there IMO. They do alot of good offers to fill the ground, theyve cut the clubs debts and costs. The side has been pretty awful, but then theyve stuck by non league nigel through some tough spells and they seem to be getting better.
