    How you can have a summit of the world's largest economies but not have China, India, Brazil or Russia there is beyond me.

    Two ringers from the EU.

    „I believe in socialism because it seems more humanitarian, rather than every man for himself and 'I'm alright jack' and all those arsehole businessmen with all the loot. I made up my mind from viewing society from that angle. That's where I'm from and there's where I've made my decisions from. That's why I believe in socialism“

    „Don't forget you're alive. 'Cause sometimes when you walk around the city and you're in a bad mood, you can think, hey, wait a minute, we're alive! We don't know what the next second will bring and what a fantastic thing this is. This can get easily forgotten in the routine of life, and that's something I'm trying to bring to my attention at all times. Don't forget you're alive. We're not dead, you know. This is the greatest thing.”

    Maybe. Still got to keep your advertiser's happy though, so they'll still have to tow the line. As long as it's another nail in the BBC coffin I'll be happy.

    Aye, I just hope to hear some open views and discourse without people being shouted down or ‘cancelled’ as they say these days.

    MSM in the UK has become a broken record. Similar views from similar angles and a lot of people are fed up with it.
    For example the interview with Beverly Turner on ITV was embarrassing, two blokes shouting her down for having a different opinion which she backed with facts. But Dermot ‘bungalow’ O’Leary was the loudest in the room so he won

    Turned on GB News for 5 minutes last like just for curiosity.

    Didn't expect it to be that bad. Looks like it was being filmed in a broom cupboard somewhere on a cheap webcam, and the ticker bar across the bottom kept stuttering and going blurry, and when I turned on there was the bloke from the Sun, who was supposed to be looking at his guest but kept flicking an eye to the camera like someone who's never been on telly before, and the Allison Pearson woman from the Telegraph (bit of a pattern there), who were sounding very conspiracy theory-like over Covid.

    So it's a very, very, very budget operation and obviously I only saw one snippet which was like the comments section on Mail Online brought to life. Oh dear.

    I'll tell you what I want (what I really really want ) from my news... The facts. I want to know what happened, where it happened and when it happened. I don't want any political spin putting on it or someones opinion or some conspiracy theory bollox. I just want the news dead straight, then I'll form my own opinion from there.

    GB News went from 'no fake news' to conspiracy theories in less than an hour. Absolutely hilarious.

    They also set out to have no, in their words, 'Fox News-style rants' - and then aired a segment actually called 'Alex's Rant' (featuring some ex-BXP 'politician');
    No 'Monologues' - only for Dan Wooton to deliver a meandering fact-free monologue.
    And claimed to be giving a voice to the voiceless - like Nigel Farage, Michelle Dewberry, Carole Malone and Alan Sugar are marganilised folk that have never previously appeared in the Mainstream Media..

    Give me strength.

    The trouble with facts is that most people use them like a drunk uses a lamppost. More for support then illumination.
