Why do people like those in Hartlepool blame labour for the austerity and cuts made by the Tories and then go on to vote for one themselves?
    Are they just thick?

There might be something in this!

„I believe in socialism because it seems more humanitarian, rather than every man for himself and 'I'm alright jack' and all those arsehole businessmen with all the loot. I made up my mind from viewing society from that angle. That's where I'm from and there's where I've made my decisions from. That's why I believe in socialism“

„Don't forget you're alive. 'Cause sometimes when you walk around the city and you're in a bad mood, you can think, hey, wait a minute, we're alive! We don't know what the next second will bring and what a fantastic thing this is. This can get easily forgotten in the routine of life, and that's something I'm trying to bring to my attention at all times. Don't forget you're alive. We're not dead, you know. This is the greatest thing.”

Hartlepool is quite reliant on the steel industry. The Tory got voted in on a policy of creating jobs in the area. Guess which way she voted when it came to saving the steel industry?

Yeah, but if you point out that they've been thick they get offended and keep voting Conservative to spite you.

If you tell them they've been clever, they'll feel vindicated so carry on voting Conservative.

    We've no hope

It’s at times like that, I am appreciative of the role of Works Councils in German companies, and their unique way of cutting through some of the absolute bullshit that permeates.

If in doubt, ask the Works Council, you’ll get an informed and impartial answer.

I don't profess to be an expert but I am not entirely convinced that describing someone as 'thick' because they do not vote the way you think they should is a particularly persuasive argument when it comes to trying to get them to change their vote.

It may be one of the many reasons why places like Hartlepool keep moving away from the politics of those who describe them as 'thick' for doing so.

I've resisted calling people thick for ages but recent events and people still can't see it makes me wonder. People who can't see that Farage is a modern day Oswald Mosley. What other excuse is there for it?
The truth sometimes hurts. What a fucking state UK politics is in, I've never known it as bad as this.
The people in Hartlepool are blaming the labour party for Tory cuts. That's thick.
As thick as the ***** who live out here and Spain and vote for brexit.

    I've said similar Erik.

However, I am now convinced that the obvious conclusion is that people who vote Labour, or indeed anyone who claims to be left wing, are in fact thick knuckle dragging idiots. It's the obvious conclusion based on the facts.

Or maybe, arrogance of belief is the problem, and the contempt and name calling of others because they don't exactly share your beliefs is why left wing parties are dying across Europe.

    Just a thought.

THE TRUTH IS THERE AND WITH IT I GO TO THE END OF THE WORLD .

Over the last day or two the Financial Times has been running a story about Tory Donors and their ever increasing influence on Government policy.

Your palms are holding her neck and thumbs are at her ears regulating the speed of her head as she swallows and then sucks up your machinery. She is topping up your engine oil for the cross-country coming up. Your RPM is hitting a new high. To wait any longer would be to lose prime time... She picks up a Bugatti's momentum. You want her more at a Volkswagen's steady trot. Squeeze the maximum mileage out of your gallon of gas. But she's eating up the road with all cylinders blazing.

Just as Johnson & co have successfully managed to convince enough people to win an election that their shit lives are down to Labour policies and not 11-years of austerity measures, convincing many of the same people that replacing some of the 20,000 coppers (let alone the immense amount of lost experience and vital local knowledge) forced into much-earlier retirement, with replacements recruited via an inferior vetting system, and trained to a noticeably-lesser standard of competence, is a return to so-called Tory law-and-order values will be an absolute fucking doddle!
