I think it was for the Watford game too.
„I believe in socialism because it seems more humanitarian, rather than every man for himself and 'I'm alright jack' and all those arsehole businessmen with all the loot. I made up my mind from viewing society from that angle. That's where I'm from and there's where I've made my decisions from. That's why I believe in socialism“
„Don't forget you're alive. 'Cause sometimes when you walk around the city and you're in a bad mood, you can think, hey, wait a minute, we're alive! We don't know what the next second will bring and what a fantastic thing this is. This can get easily forgotten in the routine of life, and that's something I'm trying to bring to my attention at all times. Don't forget you're alive. We're not dead, you know. This is the greatest thing.”

I will let you into a little secret, after the first few days of the fund went so well I set a personal target of 5k to raise (inc gift aid). As its been a good few days with no more donations, I have decided that I will close the donation page by midnight tomorrow and it will be at 5k by the time it closes. Would be fantastic if any of you could find a few pennies to push it to that figure but we are only £81 short so I will make up whatever is missing.
Thanks to everyone who has donated. I'm sure Mr Doughty is smiling somewhere up there.
I just received a lovely letter from the NSPCC thanking us all for our contributions.
They say they will also write to the club so I'm hoping we may see a thank you in the program or on the OS.
Did you recontact the club?
Talk to me, Goose.
Yep, they gave me the cold shoulder in the nicest way possible.
Any fine that is imposed on Derby for last night's disgraceful actions should go straight to one of his favorite charities and not in The Football League coffers. I'm in no way saying that they should use our JustGiving page but it seemed an appropriate place to write my feelings.
It'd be nice if they felt sufficiently contrite to make a modest donation off their own bat......
Did you contact them for a donation or to let them know that a group of fans, had off their own bat organised a collection which raised £5,000 in memory of their late owner?
I would have thought that this is exactly the kind of good publicity the club should be using in their favour.
