Cheers mate - we've become quite accustomed over the years to the occasional idiot interloper Fully aware that the majority of Swansea fans, indeed, much as we might not oft admit it, football fans in general are sound and decent folk.

As I said above, if Swansea were to overcome us on Monday then I'd genuinely wish them well in the final, a cracking side wiith an excellent manager. I've no real fondness for Reading and well, you don't need me to spell out anything about Cardiff.

willojack, I'm impressed with what I've seen, and I'm going to make you an offer.

I'm going to offer you £30,000 for a 40% stake in your company.

If you need time to confer with your boss (sorry, I mean your Dad) that's fine.

PLUS if you can make me laugh this much ever again, I'll give you back the entire equity stake, support Swansea in the 2nd leg, and throw in a free grammar lesson.

just a few bits ive found on net doing some research.

most of the rail companys only offer a 75% disscount to their drivers theres no mention of this magical free rail travel and it looks like it can only be used on the companys trains you are employed by.

the max salary for a train driver I can find is £46,000. ariva trains pay £33,000 (the train operator in wales) either way this isnt a great deal of money to be earning if you are investing into your sons car sales bussiness imho.

lastly any chance of letting me know how much VAT you payed last year on the sale of your used cars and which scheme of paying VAT you use?

In his defense, my step-brother used to get free rail travel (under 21 card), around 3 or 4 years ago, because his dad had been a train driver since the days of British Rail... whether or not the ones old enough still get this benefit, I'm not sure.

It's Forest v Swansea, not England v Wales. Why turn it into an England v Wales thing, alienating Welsh supporters of Forest and English supporters of Swansea ?

It can sometimes be a little uncomfortable for a Welsh Forest supporter due to the odd comment made on here, but they are few and far between. Deep down, the ignorance is more something to laugh at than be offended by (which is exactly how I've usually felt about some Welsh people's paranoia concerning the English). A little friendly banter is fine, but there's no need to come on here with anti English comments and behave like a knob. Narrow minded people could assume we are all like that. I've found Nottingham people to be amongst the friendliest in the country. I would never have left the city were it not for pressure from my then wife. Unfortunately, it would not be practical for me to now move back there due to kids school etc, so I endure Mansfield.

I do prefer to consider myself British, partly through having an English parent (3 English Grandparents) and being christened in Hucknall, partly due to some Welsh having the same attitude as you have adopted on here. Despite being from North Wales, I have always had a soft spot for your club and would love to see Swansea back among the elite and doing what you did in 1982 (though obviously not next season). Swansea supporters seem to be a decent friendly lot these days, but you are letting them down very badly, especially when we've been very complimentary about your team during the past couple of months.

And I've never really understood why there is so much venom against the English while the scots get pretty much left alone. England have never cheated Wales out of World Cup Qualification, yet Scotland did in both 1977 and 1985. Hell, they even rubbed it in by using commentary from the 1977 game on their 1978 world cup song.

Continue to enjoy and appreciate your club's remarkable reversal of fortunes over the past few years, think on, you could have found yourself in the conference not so long ago. And it wouldn't have been easy to come back (ask any Wrexham or Newport fan). I hope you achieve automatic promotion next season, and that we see you in 2012-13.

While I was watching the Reading/Cheaters game last night, I was wondering why the fans of the welsh clubs, don't sing their songs in welsh.

    Answers anyone?

OK, that's fair enough but in my experience, if as a group of lads you walk into a pub anywhere in Wales, the conversation around you will be in Welsh!

Not something I've noticed before when I went to the Swansea and Cardiff games didn't hear anyone speaking Welsh. Used to go to North Wales alot as a kid and English is a second language up there.

Work with quite a few Welsh lads and generally the South Wales boys don't know a word

More in the North West of Wales, than the North East. Most people in the North East corner of Wales can't speak Welsh. I was taught the Welsh language up until the age of 14, but couldn't put a sentence together in the language. I probably know no more than 10 words.
