Utter shit! First thought it was a problem with my interwebz connection. It's making LBP2 unplayable.

    Been off since Thursday

It's a farce, I've had a PS3 for nearly 3 years & I'm considering my options now after this shit.

Absolute joke, Sony need to get a fucking grip and fast. Always said Xbox Live was better in every department except the shop, this proves it

It made me paranoid about my setup, not that I'm a big user of it.

It doesn't help they refuse to say if credit card details have been stolen. The fuckers have mine. Xbox live has always been head and shoulders better but it was free I guess.

LBP is pretty much unplayable full stop though.

I'm playing my smug xbox live user card. Just goes to show that a free service is not a good service. I'm happy to pay for my subscription, I get f all downtime, plus you don't get some stupid big virtual house full of avatars. Xbl is all about no frills games.

The only things I'd want a ps3 for:

    Playing FF7
    Little big planet
    Blu-ray

Everything else is more or less available on xbox.

You'd be foolish to miss out on uncharted 2, valkyria chronicles, MGS4, disagaea and demon's souls...the same goes for the xbox though, exclusives are negligible either way really. Live is however so much better.

LBP is genius in terms of being a level editor but as actual platform games go it is average at best. Play any good mario and compare...

The PS3 is still superior as GT5 is on it.

And it's the best game ever!

I also have both a PS3 and an Xbox 360, best of both worlds!

They should give all ps3 users a free gift for our troubles haha. But seriously thinking of getting an xbox when the next generation of consoles are out.

Next generation wii announced for next year which if rumours are to be believed is being aimed at the hardcore market and will be far more powerful than the ps3. Rockstar have confirmed they will be developing for it too

I didn't really get on with GT5 - they seemed to include everything but fun races.

Yep. Can't get on with 'real' racing - give me Need For Speed any day!

Well X-box live went down for 13 days last year and thats a service your paying for. I am not going to complain too much tbh since I am not paying for the internet. However, there is certainly something dodgey going on and I think Sony are covering this up by blaming hackers. But whatever happens it better be back soon!

There's some jiggery poker with the USB ports on an XBox so don't think so.

Why waste the time though, just stream stuff to either of them from your network.. I use TVersity on my laptop and stream straight to the telly without any need to copy files over..

I'm going to get a laptop soon and streaming films straight to my tv sounds very good. Would I need a wifi card in my pc to stream a film to my ps3 from my pc?

So long as your PC is hooked up to the network by some means, be it by network cable or wifi, then you should be able to stream stuff
