    Default Nigel Doughty.

Whats your thoughts of his time so far running our club for us?

Personally I love the fact we have a fan running our club and think he's in it for the long run and looking at the big picture rather than taking a big money gamble on 1 season to get us in the prem.

Without ND we would be in the Blue Square Premier, actually no, it would be the renamed Nottingham Forest which would be there, which was made after the real Nottingham Forest went bankrupt and ceased to exist

Fiver says he had been online in the last year... He's running a multi million pound company and a football club... He will have checked his email at the very least

Forest lose at home for the first time in 36 games.

3 threads are made about the Forest Chairman the next day.

Yes, but then the thread starter saw sense and they all disappeared.

He's made some mistakes though but overall a good chairman.

And how do you know that? Remember you don't need to login to be able to see his what is being said on here, since we moved to the new server last Feb people can read without having to login.

From my records we have had at least 200 sessions from people that i consider people who are inside the club within the last 30 days

I think this sums it up. I am grateful with have a supporter as chairman, and one who seems to be calm and mentally stable, which appears to be an oddity when it comes to chairmen.

I see arguments in favour of him and against him that have been debated to death.
Even though I am not a 100% a fan of his like some people are I think to wait until we are having a bad run and having just suffered our first home defeat in a year and a half seems a little mischievous.

Don't say any more or else they'll cotton on that you're Mark Arthur...!

I doubt Forest care what we say on here - this is not a representative group of forest fans - its full of negative ne'er do wells, hell bent on bemoaning their luck and trying to form a suicide pact for the 8th of May if we finish 6th

I dont think we'd be lost without him. We'd have had someone else come in who'd have just done a different job. Whether theyd have been more successful, or even less successful is open to debate.
But I certainly dont buy this we'd be in the blue square premier, or we'd have folded malarky.

Credit to him for the amount of work, effort and money hes put in though- even though I havent agreed with alot of the decisions hes taken, and thier eventual outcome.

Hopefully he can continue to take the club upwards.

I do think though, as we are constantly told he his a fan and how much he cares - that he could maybe sometimes be more involved and open with the fans. Instead of allowing arthur to come out and make perculiar threats. To say hes fan, he does seem to show either an inability or unwillingness to conect with the fanbase.

Ah well, good luck to him taking the club forward

I remember sitting near him at West Brom away last game of the season a few years back, if that isn't interacting with the fans then I don't know what is.

I guess hes up there with mike ashley in that respect then? Hes renowned for being great at interacting with the newcastle fans, because he sometimes sits with them......oh wait.

I think with doughty, he gets alot of praise for being a fan but he so very rarely speaks, and the club is very secretive (not just transfer wise).

He has no obligation to come out and speak all the time with the fans, its his perogative.
Its just I personally feel like he misses an opportunity when instead of addressing why certain things have happened- he allows marthur to do crazy interviews wherein he threatens that doughty might stop investing in the club unless people stop daring to question him.

Doesnt strike me as someone whos particuarly connected to thier fanbase.
