Who is Bill and why is he so careful when on his feet?

Safe-Standing Bill is Alan Bexon‘s super-hero alter ego.

„I believe in socialism because it seems more humanitarian, rather than every man for himself and 'I'm alright jack' and all those arsehole businessmen with all the loot. I made up my mind from viewing society from that angle. That's where I'm from and there's where I've made my decisions from. That's why I believe in socialism“

„Don't forget you're alive. 'Cause sometimes when you walk around the city and you're in a bad mood, you can think, hey, wait a minute, we're alive! We don't know what the next second will bring and what a fantastic thing this is. This can get easily forgotten in the routine of life, and that's something I'm trying to bring to my attention at all times. Don't forget you're alive. We're not dead, you know. This is the greatest thing.”

    Safe standing back the '70s.

Some grounds didn't allow away fans to wear toe capped boots on the terraces.

The picture above shows Geordes removing their boots before entering the ground at Wrexham.

You should make Mrs Rocka do that before she comes in the house!

Will it still be allowed for kids to bring an old beer crate to stand on?

Darth Vader would've been a lot less menacing if Billy had been inside the suit...

Forgive my ignorance with this issue, but are we to assume that the five clubs chosen for the trial will have rail-seating installed beforehand?

My grandad who was a joiner made me a custom fold up step that my poor dad had to carry to games

Before what? You have to install the rail seating to test the theory.

I had two lengths of rope which were hung at the back of the Roker end on the spikes and a small plank of wood to sit on, I’d be lifted onto the seat at 2-30pm and be up a height until 4-45pm, pins and needles when I got lifted down were a killer
