I think JDM is brilliant but the story is just meh. He's the only reason I kept watching before. The whole Morgan/Carol stuff is terrible.

Just watched the new Never Mind the Buzzcocks… pretty decent for the first one back. Love that they kept the old format and not tried to mess with it.

    New Taskmaster starts tonight too.

Is that still going? Just another series spoilt by trying to squeeze too much out of it. The bigger budgets from past success might make for some better zombies but I just lost interest in the story.

Negan was a cracking baddie, but not such a 'good' bad guy. The show probably jumped the shark around the time Rick 'died'. It was never going to top the Rick/Negan dynamic.

Best thing I've watched this year is 'Please Sir'. I'm currently on disc 5 of the 19 disc box set which also includes the film, The Fenn Street Kids and Bowler.

It's going to take some time as I'm alternating it with 9 other box sets including Red Dwarf (series 11), Allo Allo (5), Dempsey and Makepeace and Chance In A Million.

I always remember Chance in a Million for his pint drinking expertise.

Only those who will risk going too far can possibly find out how far one can go.

Was that the comedy with Simon Callow in it?

I loved Buzzcocks back in the day. I was excited for the return. Pleased they had Greg Davies, Daisy May Cooper and Noel Fielding on board. Bizzare to go for Jamali Maddox instead of Bill Bailey, who said he wasn't asked, but apart from that one point all seemed good signs...

But 2 episodes in I can only say I'm disappointed. It's not that it's bad, just not as good as it was.
I've liked DMC in other things I've seen her in, but she's annoying me in this.

Hopefully it'll get better as they do more.

Agree it’s decent but just lacking a spark.

No mention of Squid Game here.

Everyone seems to be talking about it so thought Iíd see what the fuss was about.

    I didnít like it.

Thereís another Netflix series Alice in Borderland which looks similar only Iím not sure whether to watch or just pass. Anyone seen it?

I think 'odd' is a good thing. Oddness shows originality, uniqueness and a desire to be different from the masses. Oddness is, maybe, only deemed 'odd' by the majority who are considered less odd but only by their own blinkered observations and understanding. Oddness should never be criticised but be encouraged to nurture, develop individualism and to explore the mind rather than conform to expectation and 'normality'. Many of the world's greatest works of art and prose were born from those minds many considered to be 'odd'.

I can't decide whether Squid Game looked good or dreadful.

I'm watching Sex Education at the moment. Also discovered that I'm a empath apparently. It exhausts me just watching it.

I finished it on Saturday, some bits were ludicrous even for Sex Ed. Sorta put me off the ending a bit.

Just finished White Lotus. It was good, not as great as I was hoping but still good.

Without getting too spoilerish it's also shame that the one character who could have had a cracking spin off series, cannot.

I thought Squid Game was great. A slow start but it picks up at the third episode, by which time the characters are developing.

I loved it for the most part even if I did find the finale abit 'meh'. The marble episode was the highlight

Alice in Borderland was better than Squid Game but I didnít like it either.

Not sure why I watched them both to the end.

We're a few eps off. Watched the French trip episode last night.
    Fully expecting plenty of ludicrousness!

ĄI believe in socialism because it seems more humanitarian, rather than every man for himself and 'I'm alright jack' and all those arsehole businessmen with all the loot. I made up my mind from viewing society from that angle. That's where I'm from and there's where I've made my decisions from. That's why I believe in socialismď

ĄDon't forget you're alive. 'Cause sometimes when you walk around the city and you're in a bad mood, you can think, hey, wait a minute, we're alive! We don't know what the next second will bring and what a fantastic thing this is. This can get easily forgotten in the routine of life, and that's something I'm trying to bring to my attention at all times. Don't forget you're alive. We're not dead, you know. This is the greatest thing.Ē
