So perhaps West Ham/Southampton placed a bid at 12m, then Villa outbid them.

I think it’s clear he does have contacts from which he receives info, and he shares that info no matter how far along it might actually be.

That means that a lot of his rumours ultimately don’t pan out, just as a lot of club interest doesn't ultimately become a transfer.

Several of the ones you have listed as wrong were verified in other places as bids, the fact that they were rejected/fell through doesn’t mean that the info was wrong.

If you’re just interested in hearing about who Forest are looking at then Nixon has his place, but if you are expecting to see an accurate record of who we are about to sign then you will be disappointed

Tbf the Gabriel one and Buchanan ones are correct, those clubs have bid and we bid for him.

I don't think Nixon said that any of those were 100% happening, normally he's very vague enough to give him deniable culpability.

This is probably a bit misleading tbf, for example, we know for a fact we have bid for Buchanon and Laurent and that Brentford have made a couple of bids for Johnson and Burnley have been interested in Worral for ages, afaik, Nixon hasn't said that these guys were definitely signing, just that bids were made or that teams were interested (which helps protect him too, I'm sure)

Fair point RR, but he responds to Twitter questioning such as "who is signing for my club", by providing a perfect lesson in ambiguity to give the impression he's in an exclusive ITK 'loop', rather than being honest and simply saying, "I don't know".
