We've not really been promised anything, its people just trying to guess and be heroes as usual..

Tomorrow is when Forest will do their press conference for the Saturday match against Burnley, and people are putting 2 and 2 together.

Im not saying anything is NOT going to happen, but dont hold your breath

I'm not claiming to have any sources or anything, but a colleague of mine is good friends with a 'senior' member of the Forest heirarchy, and I knew he'd spoken to him yesterday, so as usual asked if he'd got any 'news'. He doesn't usually tell him anything of substance, but the 'senior' figure said that after Saturday, when the premier clubs have to announce their 25 man squad, the clubs would know who is available for loan (which could squash the Bertrand signing this week story) and that he expected to be 'very busy' at the end of this week.

Busy doing what, I don't know, but let's hope it's signing contracts.

Well i hope your 'senior figure' at the club is smarter than that..................... prem clubs have to announce their 25 man squad at the end of august. God, no wonder we arent signing anyone if our 'senior figures' dont even know simple rules.

He should be very busy looking for a new job mate.

i wouldnt have thought he would be in chelsea's 25 man squad anyway, with him being 4th choice left back and all

I think the majority on here would agree with that!

But how can they announce their squad at the end of August, if they start playing on the 14th, what if they used 26 players before the end of August?

I know that's being silly, but in theory, it could happen.

Bertrand wouldn't need to be registered anyway, as he's under 21.

Because the transfer window ends at the end of august. If clubs had to register players at the end of this weekend then there wouldnt be much point them signing players during this transfer window because they couldnt play them due to them already announcing there 25 man squad, lol.

I think thats the case anyway lol

Should we all just leave these aspects of football to those who have played Football Manager for a few years?

This is the first year in whch these rules have been in place, so they wouldn't have appeared in Football Manager.

Wow some people got pretty excited by me pretending to know a few things....

This is a casing point that the vast majority of the people "in the know" aren't actually "in the know" at all.
