LTLF Powerleague team. New season. New Start. New manager?

First things first, although this isn't Forest banter, I wanted everyone to see it, so nobody feels left out.

Last season we had a relatively poor turn out and we were demolished by, on average, 20+ goals per week. It was a good laugh, but there wasn't the uptake in playing I would have expected from a group of people united by a love of football.

Well, a new league is starting this season, and hopefully we can be a little more active in procuring new players than Forest are currently being.

The league will be on a Tuesday night and the games are 30 minutes long. The cost is £25 per team, so if there are 8 of us, it's a shade over £3 each. Peanuts really!

The league is starting at the end of the month, so it gives us a couple of weeks to get a list of interested people together and get it sorted.

As many will be aware, fitness is a big issue for a one or two of us, so having more than the required 5 players is always handy!

There will be a tournament to sort out the rankings before the league commences, so we shouldn't be lumped in with a bunch Man Utd youth team players, and hopefully will be playing matches against fat old men. (Nutter, it's too obvious a joke, so don't make it!)

We should have a sparkling new kit for the start of the season too, so we may look like we know what we're doing.

Obviously the games are only 30 minutes long, so we should be able to make the games a little bit more competitive, hopefully anyway.

All we need now is a list of people interested in playing on a regular basis. Obviously there will be the guest appearances from Winnits and CT to look forward to too, but I don't think they can commit to regular appearances. If I'm wrong, you're obviously both a lot more than welcome to enter into the regular rotation.

So, if anyone is interested in making regular appearances can you PM your phone number and your real name so I can get a squad sorted out.

Also, include your age, as there are age restrictions at Powerleague.

Hopefully this season we can make a decent go of it.

Remember, this isn't some cliquey thing, anyone and everyone is welcome, so get involved and have a bit of a laugh. Doesn't matter if your 16 or 63, get yourself involved!

I expect a better turnout than last season!
