Anyone played the demo?

My first thoughts were that the game had lost some of its eery atmosphere and had become too "cartoony" to use my exact words.

However having played the two levels a few times it has grown on me and I am a fan of the gameplay and most of the new additions they've made.

The machete is great fun.

Roll on the 17/20 of November whichever it is.

What do we think?

Its still too linear which I'm dissapointed in. I was hoping that the maps would be more free roaming, as opposed to being one route through several different areas (but I can't be pleased as what I'm thinking of is along the lines of a GTA style city ...... but with fast zombies)

I have this preordered, played the demo as survivor and infected.

It's different enough to make me want it, only issue I have is the VS mode is 4 players 6 possible infected.

I have to disagree if they made it more free roaming I probably wouldn't buy it.

Looking forward to purchasing this. Not got a Gold account though, so I can't play it online which is undoubtedly the only reason why I'd play L4D!

I played it with some mates last night and have got to say that it is seriously boring!!!! Theres been little to no advance on the previous gameplay, except for the new levels and a few extra super zombies. One of the good things going for the game is that when you are about to slip into a boredom induced coma you can set yourself as idle, leaving the computer to control your character.

I'm trading it in tommorow - this isn't a game its a £40 expansion pack.

You can't have played it for that long anyway.

I agree, the Improvement is vast, the addition of the new special infected and 'AI director' have made corner camping impossible, if you get split from the group now you are screwed.

The game now relies heavily on teamwork and keeping on the move.

Scavenge was a good edition too, again teamwork is needed to get anywhere.
