Seems like the lure of the big city is too much for Peter 'Dick' Whittingham.

You know what? I don't care anymore, I really don't. We could sign Billy Piper for all I care.
SCREW YOU forest
I for one believe you even though i have not believed others in the past. This is only due to a gut feeling that they will parade a new signing around the pitch like they did with Garner when he first joined.
I've got a good feeling about this. Kiss-Majewski's first post was one of the best I've ever seen on here, this aint no ordinary guy and I really believe that Whittingham will be a Forest player later on today!
If we sign Whittingham today, satan will be skating to work tomorrow
I'm not sure how i'd cope with the shock if we ACTUALLY signed someone. Since the beginning of the January transfer window it's been a rollercoaster of emotions (mis-placed hopeful optimism, misery, disappointment, despair, anger, betrayal, suicidal ideation). I'm slightly worried that if something good happens I might be forced to smile or worse, rejoice. As a forest fan, I am not vastly experienced in rejoicing.
maybe something in this
vital have said in this comment that cardiff have rejected forest bid for him...i havent seen anywhere on there website that this is the case...
Signings are still on the Forest managers agenda, with three-five wanted. Offers for Jermaine Johnson and Peter Whittingham have been rejected but an interest is still there. Davies wouldn't discuss names of players of interest though as he felt this would be 'unfair' on the players, and the clubs, involved.

People need to stop posting these threads, my hopes and dreams can't take much more of a battering. Don't know how there can be so many seemingly unreliable sources out there, to get the shorey situation completely wrong, and then when they thought they had found out why he wasn't coming, it turns out that he is coming again :S. And as for Pratley, well, that wasn't an absoloute joke at all. I think we should all go and scope out the swansea, cardiff, villa and forest car parks rather than sit around here, at least then we'll get an actual idea of whats going on (maybe). Or we could just follow 'nigel doughty' on twitter >.>
I've been sat in a carpark on Cannock Chase for the past three evenings and you wouldn't believe how many footballers I've seen in the flesh. I think Collymore might be on his way back, either that or.. oh.
Its true.. I work for Forest, I do the photography for the website and can reveal this photo is due to appear on the website soon
well he could look happier. and his head doesn't really fit his body. still, decent effort. 7/10
Looks very similar to this one...

While not discounting what you saying, when someone on the coaching staff tells me that even they get told nothing about transfer targets, as the club like to keep everything close to their chest, I find it hard to believe that other staff know, I know someone who works on the website and IT down there, and when I asked if he had any info, his reply was "Why would I know?"
Of course if they were involved in any paperwork involved, that would be different.
Another new ITK member and another new thread.
Forgive me if I do not get too excited.
There are people within the club who need to know and those who don't. Now I don't profess to know anything about how the club is administered but the coaching staff I would imagine would not be that high up the pecking order. Even the relatively low paid junior accountant will know more about this than coaching staff. Pelling needs his figures somehow and he ain't gonna be fannying around with the detail himself. There will be a clear chain of command and specifics of transfers will flow down that line to whoever needs to do their bit.
