So Forest only bid £1 million for Whittingham and it has now been rejected.
I think it's safe to say that the deal is now dead.
Don't we usually do our press conferences on Thursdays?
IF......the Whittingham deal had been agreed last night or yesterday i would be very suprised if it was announced today as we would need to get the player up to Nottingham....to sign ...to sort out the photos and contact all the PR Guys etc.
Plus every major news organisation eg.Sky Sports the BBC etc are all reporting this morning of a failed bid so on the same day if the signing was announced they would all look a bit stupid.
I'd expect IF this 'rumour' is true and i have no reason to doubt OTT ,it will be announced tommorow ..
Its Thursday tommorow !!!!!
edit lol Medz exactly what i was thinking!
Just noticed were on page 8 and there seems to be a lack of squirrels... Whats goin on?!
Like I say everything was agreed quite late on last night, thats when OTT must of found out, 2 prem loans lined up next Whitts is done 2mill and agreed 100%.
Cardiff are looking for special dispensation to register the 2 loans for the weekend, they have to come up with some cash and fast, Doughty finally gave in with a sizable amount upfront and the rest in installments, this is 100%. WHITTINGHAM HAS SIGNED.
Cardiff have also lined up Koumas as his replacement when they use our money to lift the embargo.
I dont make claims on here never have, this is TRUE.
He will be in the team for Sat.
i will believe it when i see it....im one of those!
I cannot believe that Forest did not have any level of expediency involved in poaching Whittingham. The embargo will soon be gone, and Whittingham is as good as lost. A former top flight player, on good form, who could easily command a fee of £2 million + in a good climate, and Forest dawdle, taking the piss with a £1 million offer.
And SURPRISE SURPRISE! I appears to have backfired. Yet AGAIN.
Hope this is true and we haven't signed someone called Wong.
In which case, why are the BBC reporting that we only bid £1 million, and Cardiff have now rejected the offer, to continue new contract talks with Whittingham?
I think I'm more likey to believe the BBC than a guy randomly posting on a forum, and who has no evidence to back up their claim.
thats some midfield we could have,
There are some posters turning up here on page 8 who blatently haven't read the rest of the thread. Go and watch the BBC if you are so sure they are right.
