Where is ott? We need more information!!!
Why can't i type in capitals you admin bastrads??
I think it's pretty nailed on he won't be in their 25. He's 4th choice left back, remember they recalled him after having three injuries last season.
I think realistically his options are Fulham or West Ham, neither of whom have seemingly made a bid for him. They don't have the luxury of waiting to see if he is left out of the 25, either, as they will have to name theirs too.
I'd love to see him here. With him here, we could return to the Premiership before he's 30. If he keeps himself in good shape, he could get 4 years playing week in week out in the Prem with us. That could also lead to a call up for the Euros or next WC squad if he plays it right.
pratley will see the whittingham signing and hand in a transfer request.....so im told
Could well be a catalyst for other signings.
Waiting for a SportChippers update....
This also raises the scenario that Shorey might wait until the Premier Leage squads are announced on September 1st; if he isn't in Villa's (and he probably won't be) and he hasn't been picked up by either Fulham or West Ham (and let's hope he won't be) then in September, when the loan window opens, we might stand another chance of getting him on loan, at least?
Then he'd be playing football, rather than kicking his heels doing nothing for at least six months.
We have gone back in according to the NEP.

I honestly believe that's what Forest are hoping for, as it would mean we would have leverage to get Villa to pay 60% of his wages, again, as Villa would have to pay all of his wages and would be unable to cal on him if he was forced to sit in the stands there.
It might mean him missing out on a few games for us, but we'd get him again, in that scenario, for next to nothing.
I've been saying this for the last month. If hes not signed up by the time the window shuts, then hes got nothing to lose by coming here on loan...as it will put him in the shop window, whilst he still pulls down his full wages and plays regular football.
The only problem with that is if he does well and we get to january and he decides to go elsewhere again.
Didn't the nespapers claim that £800,000 for Wilson from Celtic was an 'improved' offer. Sometimes they hear about the transfer, then completely guess on the value. If OTT is to be believed, then the bid we have put in is a lot higher than what most would have expected. I suspect £2.5/3 million tbh
how long is shorey's contract?
<sigh> Another day spent on newsnow and twitter hoping for some good news.
Although, newsnow is infuriating, as you'll have 1 news story from a reputable source (i.e. 'Cardiff reject £1 mil bid from Forest for Whittingham' - BBC Sport); and then about 4 or 5 betting/fan websites post the exact same story about 2 hours later, meaning only like 1 in 6 stories printed there are worth reading
There's a tweet from Earnshaw on twitter now.
'Good Morning'
Move on to plan B if Shorey doesn't want to come , at least someone like Ryan Bertrand , we actually have a possibility of getting him permanently next season since Chelski do have a lot of left backs and Ryan is like the 4th choice.
I don't think we should make out Shorey doesn't want to come if he has a desire to play at the highest level he can.
Surely we're better off having a plan B but sticking with plan A until it becomes unavailable. As it is, Shorey is available. Other Prem clubs haven't come in for him, and with each day that passes, we get nearer to being the prime club for him.
If we have to play 3 or 4 games with Cohen at left back until we can get him, then so be it.
Plan A for Aahnholt. Plan B for Bertrand. Plan C for Capaldi. Plan D for...
whittingham update? ... pls dnt go quiet on me again forest
