Enough said. bye, bye.
Do I think Commons was better than our current left wingers?
I do actually.
He's still a greedy little shit though.

I'd agree, on his day he was better.
Consistently better though? No definitely not

Re: £1.5m bid tabled in writing today for Whittingham
Nah, Commons is shit. I'd take McCleary, Ando over him anyday.

Re: £1.5m bid tabled in writing today for Whittingham
So Whittingham signing tomorrow yes? After staying in a hotel in Nottingham this weekend after the Cardiff match to agree terms and have a medical tomorrow.

Re: £1.5m bid tabled in writing today for Whittingham
I don't think footballers can support a team in the same way that you and I do, there's too much of a conflict of interests. The simple answer to the conundrum is money.

Thought that's what he was talking about.
He doesn't have a Forest tattoo.
Commons laughs. He doesn't have a Forest tattoo. But then he doesn't shy away either from explaining the reasons why he no longer feels safe wandering the streets of his home city.

He moved 'for football reasons'. Because you wanted to experience a lower standard of football, Kris? :p

He moved to us, we were relegated and Stoke ended up getting promoted. Wouldn't it be so beautiful if history repeats itself?

Why?
Bothroyd has always looked like a donkey when I have seen him. He is not any better than Blackstock.

Re: £1.5m bid tabled in writing today for Whittingham
Blackstock is a far better player than Bothroyd. Bothroyd IMO is a one trick pony - holding the ball up, charging forward, letting off a powerful shot every now and again. Blackstock has got a lot more to his game, can do these things mentioned, lead the line on his own, hold it up, is great in the air and has got decent feet for a big lad (excuse clche) - remember that winner Vs. Bristol City in 93rd minute? Great volley

Well basically we've tabled a 1.5m bid for Peter Whittingham of Cardiff City football club.
Hope that's helped :p

Re: £1.5m bid tabled in writing today for Whittingham
Well, some scurrilous rag says so, Forest have refused to comment.

Re: £1.5m bid tabled in writing today for Whittingham
Nearly every transfer rumour discussed on this site over the past month has been triggered by the likes of the Sun and Star and Sky (as reliable as astrology), the Daily Fail - sic Mail (as reliable as 2nd class post deliveries), the Mirror (warped as in a Fairground).
Bearing in mind Cardiff's financial straits you would think that we should hear one way or another whether we have suceeded or failed in signing him in the next couple of days. IMO - we will hear, one way or another ahead of the Lyon friendly. I reckon the Pratley signing will go down to the final day of the transfer window. Sorry that you only have one more link to read in 5 pages of shite! If you're as desperate as me you will be spending the coming few days checking out the Official Website every hour for the 3rd week in a row.

I've got a feeling that Lyon friendly could be very revealing :frantic:

Re: £1.5m bid tabled in writing today for Whittingham
Interestingly (or not) Im reading a book now called 'The Draft' which focusses on a few college 'football' players and their journey through the NFL draft.
It seems that most teams draft not only based on ability but also personality. I.e. if they wont fit the team setup, they wont take them, no matter how good they are.
Are Forest taking a similar approach? They sure dont seem to like the bad boys too much...

Billy said a while ago. He doesn't want people here who don't add anything to the club. I think he is mainly talking about the "bad boys" of football.

Exactly. What do Cardiff want to do? Sell or keep?

Dearie me, your hillarious :D
Where am I saying these things you can keep refering to?
I think commons is much better than our current left winger -nathan tyson for sure.
Also, as for our aim of the premiership- would you honestly say jermaine johnson is better than commons when on form? :D
All I'm saying is that when commons is fit and on form hes an excellent player- but its very rare that hes either of those things. I dont think, like you do, that just because he went to derby, that suddenly means hes always been crap. Because I saw him times at forest to know that that wasnt true.
Is that really hard for you to grasp?
And to be fair, I do take lots of long looks in the mirror- but only because im extremely vain ;)

I read that book thinking it would be about Door insulation.
I was most disappointed.

Re: £1.5m bid tabled in writing today for Whittingham
we are signing left back from chelsea - probably patrick van aanholt
pratley - no official offer made this transfer window
whittingham will sign and we are increasing offer to £2m - the board are keen to get their man
wilson is staying after we rejected celtics offer but wilson is pissed off at how the club have handled it
tyson is leaving for southampton with johnson coming from the owls to replace
believe it if you want...
