English sources have just reported to Veronica Inside that Nottingham Forest is seriously interested in Zian Flemming and that the Fortuna Sittard midfielder has already been bid.

Flemming, who indicated in an interview last season that he was interested in a transition, was plucked from PEC Zwolle last summer for a relatively low transfer fee and is in Limburg until the summer of 2024. He was one of the most important players at Fortuna last season with 12 goals and 7 assists in the Eredivisie and 3 goals in the cup tournament.

A number of Dutch players have played at Nottingham Forest in the past, including Hans van Breukelen, Pierre van Hooijdonk, Brian Roy and Frans Thijssen. The illustrious Forest, which has won the European Cup 1 twice in the past, has big plans and wants to return to the Premier League as soon as possible.

I know it's only a highlights reel, but he looks a quality player from that, with attributes you need for this league.

This be a Murphy target you reckon Bryan?

Yep from that he looks strong, confident on the ball, can spot a pass and use both feet well.

I expect Bournemouth to have signed him within a few days.

I’m dubious about this one, but Never say Never

I love the way they list those Dutchmen and miss out probably the best one - Johnny Metgod!

Lets hope he is the man with the golden boots and is given a license to thrill to avoid the spectre of relegation and the skyfall in

On a serious note, can you lot who live in Nottingham make an effort to make him feel at home when he comes for a visit.

Nothing much, clogs in every shoe shop, tulips lining the streets and a few windmills.

If you could also keep rioting down to nothing more than an affray, that would also be appreciated

Exactly the type of player we should be targeting! Bodes well for future transfers.

Don’t know anything about him but glad to see the change of tack in recruitment strategy.

This is it mate, to me I don't care if he turns out crap. You will make mistakes in transfers and you will get flops, but players like this are less likely to be flops for many reasons.

He isn't gonna cost much in fee or wages, so there will always be a resale market for him & they are young enough to keep around and persist with even if they aren't up to it.

Our biggest issue recently has been inability to sell / move on players, leaving a bloated squad and not much room for movement - and not believing in players and persisting with them. If those two things alone are changing we will progress.
