You're good.......but you're not all that bro

As my previous topic went down well (a record 38 replies to date!), I thought i'd flip reverse it to see the player who gets plenty of credos and adulation but you don't think is quite as good as all that.

I'll start with
Duh Duh Duh Duh

Nathan Tyson.

I like him, and his pace is unquestionably blistering, and he's not a disastorous finisher BUT I think he's a bit of a one trick pony, and against a good, clever, fairly pacy defender I don't think we'd get much apart from a lot of hard work from him

Controversial, but the Moose is possibly not that good

Couldn't agree more. Hopefully he can put in some performances like those first two, but at times he's been woeful.

I am very confident about the Moose though next season once he get's a full pre-season under his belt though the ridiculas hype hasn't been justified imo. Mr McGugan deserves a mention, the most frustratingly inconsistant player at the club since er, Commons.

Mark Arthur.

Sorry. Player?

Tyson, Moussi, Wilson, Morgan, Bennett - take your pick.

Tyson is alright but well and truely overrated. People make out he is our strongest striker along with Earnie I personally would put him at 3rd choice behind Garner and Earnie out the strikers we have at the moment. not to mention the potential Adebolas, Blackstocks and McGoldricks we may end up having in the side that will put him well and truley in the dark surely.

Another player of that is Lee Camp  the most overrated player I have ever witnessed and he is that overrated by us forest fans that rumours still fly round he is coming here when he blatantly isn't because he is not good enough to replace Paul Smith and do a vast better job especially when Hanheman is currently a free agent.

And finally Anderson. People will probably kill me for this but I think for all his work and tracking back we could do so much better. A Croft or someone of that calibre could do a much better job for us.

I agree to an extent, he lacks composure which results in a poor 'end product'.

Dunno where you're coming from with Croft though. He doesn't have the qualities that Anderson has (pace, work rate) and if you read what the Norwich fans have to say about him, he can't cross either.

Will I get ripped to shreds If I say Cohen?

Granted he is one of our better players and does run and run and run but, in the games I've seen him - granted about 12 live and few more on the TV, I've never seen him dominate a game.

I'm just not sure of the worship he seems to get and all these people shouting for him to be captain.

That's all, please don't shout at me!

Quite a few have creamed their pants over him. Especially in his first season.

Perch has spent the entirety of last season being lauded by all and sundry.

I must have got my squad number sheet mixed up, as from my seat he's been a liability most games.

Cohen is not a player that will always run the game but he is never found hiding and is involved in most things we do. A very consistent player and hard to pick a match where he has had a poor game.

Cohen had an absolute shocker away at blackpool. We would have been better off with ten men!

For me it would have to be the moose, loads of potential i'll grant u but he's rarely delivered.

There's a guy on my Sunday league team who runs marathons (for fun apparently.) Decent player but not great, and literally the only player who can run full tilt for the whole ninety minutes, pretty much all you've stated above. But some of the older midfield players are still far more capable of bossing the midfield and dictating play.

And that's kind of my point - he's much more consistant than The Moose for example - but there are the odd games where the Moose just seems to be one step ahead of everyone else in midfield - both Reading games last season for example. He was brilliant.

Once Cohen starts putting in these sort of performances, while still being relatively consistant in the other games, he'll be worthy of some of the high praise that seems to already have come his way.

(I had a further think and Leyton Orient away was the one game I can remember him truely impressing me - but he still wasn't as influential as Bennett that day.)

The Moose is a liability.

I thought we had signed Viera after seeing his performance against Reading (at home). Then I realised he cost £3.50 from a French park side and he appeared to be playing kabaddi.

I have a terrible feeling that someone pretending to be George Weah's cousin recommended him to Friio and we've fallen for it.

Ridiculous. Moussi has only played a couple of games where he has been fully fit, at the start of the season. He returned off the back of a long injury lay off and was thrust into some tough situations, like Reading away.

It's silly how quickly we right players off who've not had a chance because of injuries or whatever. A bit like how Garner was getting bad things said about him because he was on the bench and not playing much, and then all of a sudden when he got a run in the team and started doing well, people were singing his praises again. Same old fickle crap.

I would agree, Anderson could produce more in terms of assists and goals, but I wouldn't at all play down his part in bringing balance to the team. There's a lot more to football than crosses and goals and if you don't have a solid base at the back and in midfield, you end up with Tyson at left back and Earnie in the holding role setting up goals for the opposition. We all know our form dipped at Xmas when the sheepshagger injured Anderson.

In fact, this whole thread is f***ing stupid. Why are we trying to find negative things to say about our own players? Especially ones who clearly work their bollocks off for the club like Tyson, Anderson and Cohen. Great 'support'!
