Your prediction on Forest 10-11 season's final standing...

Giving to all those unfortunate injuries plus some unforseeable players transfer issues, my conservative thought would be 5th.;) However, if this Forest squad able to pass the first two month without heavily falling behind, consider this season can be very promising. lol

In addition, I think the trio that relegated from EPL last season (Burnley, Portsmouth and Hull City), none of them possess the kind of formiddable strength like Newcastle does in the previous season:devil:, so the top two spots are wild open along with the play-off seats for at least half-dozen teams to grab. Forest should be among those teams mixed into the very tight and intense race.:frantic:

The overall theme of this season's League Championship would be very similar compare to 07-08 season, which the final table was set until the very last week. Forest, of course, was promoted back to here that season.

I do not believe we will face any real threat from relegation, but consider how bittersweet the end of last season turned out, it would be a gigantic disappointment to everyone had Forest failed to reach at least play-off stage. Opportunity of promotion is precious and fickle, club better grasp the chance when it arrives, otherwise, momentum will wane, concentration will be lost.:-*:paperbag:

So which team you guys believe eventually will squeeze into the rising elevator to EPL and which team will become the hapless one riding the cab to league I at the end of 10-11?

I shall reserve judgement until we know the final squad. If we don't sign anyone at all I think we probably won't make the play offs as we'll be down to playing youth team members by xmas.

I simply don't get it. Here we are exactly one week away for the season's grand openning but somehow team couldn't even be completed. And the club officials all seem very calm and cool with it, that's eccentric.

Just exactly how many players haven't we signed yet?

Well, to be fair, i don't think it's that unusual. Players have been looking at all their options and clubs holding out for as much as possible. I think this week there will be a lot of signings across the board (hopefully some for forest).

If this XI can finish 3rd, then surely it can reach the playoffs at minimum. But new signings definitely needed.

I feel this season PNE, Bristol City, Cardiff City are all very strong. Errrrr!

Cardiff will lose at least one more key player then they'll be f**ked. Preston are nothing special either if I'm honest! I do expect Brizzle to 'ave a good season though.

Bristol maybe (though one geriatric goalkeeper does not make a team, plus they lost hartley) the other two no. Cardiff have big big problems. You can only not pay players for so long before it affects their performances. Preston I can't see doing much.

For me we need to watch for boro, burnley and reading.

In all fairness, Bristol City had a tremendous squad back in 07-08, how did they manage to concede the 2nd spot then lost the play-off match is still beyond me.

I think those players from that team is quite pumped, since Blackpool can join the EPL, then...

Wait..... WE ought to get goddamn pumped as well @#RAVERG#$#

I remember this time last year though when everyone in Football expected Ipswich to do well but they failed miserably. I can see Middlesbrough doing something similar to be honest.

That I agree, should never ever count The Sky-Blue out.

They are struggling recently though, in fact all those previous tenacious EPL drop-out clubs such as Southampton, Wednesday and Leeds U are declining. Leeds came back this year, I think they are excited.

Every time I saw Ipswich Town or heard that team's name being discussed, my memory would bring back that 9-0 fiasco...

That game was epic... Andy Cole single-handedly destroyed a squad. Feel for Ipswich.

Yes, there is always a surprise crap team. I just hope it's not us...

This could be a very wide open Championship; Burnley, Bristol City, Boro, Reading and Forest will all be in with a shout of winning it.

I think with what we have currently, we can finish in the playoffs; with a signing or two, we should be looking at an automatic spot.

That said, I thought we'd finish 8th last season, so what do I know!

We over achieved last season, our home form was once in 30 years stuff, our unbeaten away streak was fortunate in the extreme. There was also a good feeling flowing throughout the club, as if people believed it was a new dawn.

This season feels slightly gloomy, as if something isn't quite right behind the scenes, there is no way we will replicate our home form of last year. I would reckon we would finish somewhere between 9th and 14th as it stands.

I agree that we over-achieved last season, but billy's teams seem to have a habit of doing that. I think that most of the gloom is among fans on the internet not in the club. A couple of "stellar" signings to replace what we've lost and we will be back to feeling good.

What about the relegation zone?

I sensed at least 7 teams have the dark clouds looming above their heads.

I'll wait till January when the table takes shape, blah blah blah

Boro, Brizzle, Leeds will have a good season IMO.

I just find it astonishing that we've had an entire pre-season to get a LB and still none. We seem to only go after Top-class "stella" signings as if we're Real Madrid. Let's face it guys, we can't bully teams for players anymore!

We still have a lot of class in the current squad and a couple of signings would take us up to knocking on the play off door or even higher.

No signings and a couple of injuries to key players could see us in a bit of trouble,,we were very lucky last season to have Morgan and Wilson fit and available for as long as we did.

It worries me what kind of message we are sending to our current stars,,we can be a fickle bunch at the City Ground at times, and a run of defeats will start to get the crowd on the players backs..If we are not doing well and the players are under pressure i fear we may lose a couple of key players if the bids come in in January.

Maybe the club are waiting to see how the Prem teams deal with the 25 man squad rule, and are hoping to pick up some of the players left out.

In my own opinion, I think we have a severe lack of depth. I know perch and ganrer werent important players by any stretch, but they still managed to play almost 50 games between them last season. That shows how threadbare our squad is, and I dont have any confidence in the likes of thornhill (id love to be proved wrong though) to step up and this year fit into our team.

I think we'll finish around 10th-12th, pushing for the play offs all season, before tiredness sets in and we fall away towards the end.
