For me a few are

The FA Cup tie at Birmingham in 88

Pearce's last minute free kick winner at Spurs on Boxing Day 91

The end of the match at Ipswich in 93

The second half at Peterborough in 94

Having grown up in Ipswich , and living in Indonesia since 94 my live matches were / are limited but would love to hear of others favorite moments

Welcome to the forum. I've got so many.

Paul McGregor knocking in Psycho's Penalty miss in the Uefa Cup ( a real demonstration of pain followed by pleisure)

Chettle's away goal at Munich

Van Hooijdonk's 'wrong side' free kick

Ian Woan's goal v Newcastle. The one where he nicked the ball from Batty and ran half the pitch. I remember that was used in (Carlsberg ?) sponsorship in the program, demonstrated with beer glasses.

Everything after Commons left.

Saying that, we weren't that bad before he joined were we ? Wasn't he a fringe player when we were in the playoffs ?

Jack Burkitt
Sheffield Utd at home in the play-offs. Followed by beating Yeovil to escape League 1. Both soon to be eclipsed by King Billy.

I guess the memory is tarnished by the eventual result, but in terms of the exact moment, well it has to be Psycho's free kick in the F.A. cup final.

I have never shouted as much or as loud in my life. Just for that moment i thought we would win the damn thing. The combination of the elusive FA cup seeming so close and favourite ever Forest player scoring means that I cant think that moment will ever be beaten.

Longest journey home ever though!

I watched the final as an 11 year old at home with my Dad. We had a complaint from the next door for the noise I made when Psycho scored ;D

My favourite memory at the City Ground was the next season when Des scored his goal against Luton. I was stood right behind the goal and actually ducked when he hit it, but good old Sutt's let it in and what a feeling! :excited:

Invading the pitch after Harry Bassett got us back to the Premier League.

There were a lot of bad times that followed that euphoric moment...

Kenny Burns lifting the League Cup in 1978.

Looking back to that season we only used 17 players and all the outfield players scored at least 1 goal.

Poppa and Mom took me, my baby sister and Robby to the Forest of Dean last year - Poppa and Mom left us to explore. It was magical.

Ian Storey Moore's Hat-Trick against Everton in the FA Cup (1966-67) at the City Ground in front of a 47,510 crowd.

Winning promotion after the Yeovil game.

Clearly not our best moment but the relief that followed was immeasurable. Finally didn't have to shy away anymore when people asked about Forest. We were back to a reasonable position again.

Three favourites:

Peterborough '94
Spurs FA Cup with the bomb scare and then Keane scoring the winner in front of our support
Stood on Bridgford for Des' goal.

Spurs 91 was gutting as we broke down somewhere in Northants on the way down and had to walk a few miles cross country to find a hotel to call someone to tow us back to Nottm. Sitting in the car looking at an unused ticket as Psycho scored. Not all bad I guess but at the time was so frustrating...

Gotta be Peterborough 94 for me too. Awesome day (and night).

Perversely I have very fond memories of Clough's last game at the CG against the Blades - despite not remembering much of the game at all (aside from Franz Carr warming up as a sub lol ) it was a great send off.

Hmm, the Yeovil game still sticks in the memory. For me though, I loved Chris Bart Williams' goal against Reading to send us up in 1998. The commentary on the radio of that moment(both Radio Nottm & GEM) is the best bit of radio ever.
