Mark Byrne has been offered a new contract. Quite suprised by this, as Billy has generally got rid of all of our promising youngsters. He made 44 appearances in his loan spell at Rushden.

By all accounts (and from what I've seen of the kids on FW) Tom Mullen is the one to watch. Good to see him offered a new contract and apparently the Greek lad in goal is a decent prospect too.

Surprised to hear Thompson and Hopkinson have been released though, whenever I've heard good things about those two always seem to be names the crop up. I hope the kids who have been released have long successful careers at Notts.

I'm shocked that Jordan Fairclough's been released. I knew his whole family quite well when I was younger and not only was his ability always abundantly obvious, he's also a cracking lad.

dissapointed they've released shane redmond, he was looking to be a quality goalkeeper, but it s'pose he wont be coming to the front at forest any time.....ever. Especially happy that Freeman is signed, quality full back.

Yeah Tom Mullen is supposed to be shithot. I used to work with his dad and it would be ace if he can keep scoring his way through the ranks into the first team being a fellow Worksopian.
