Commons was out of contract, not a lot we could do.

6 easy points might be pushing it a bit! :D

Who are NFC?

Commons was out of contract, so we had little choice in the matter.

I'm sure more will become clear over coming months about how each side respectively prepares for next season; City could well prove to be a flash in the pan, although I doubt it because I do rate your manager very highly.

Another great post, together with excellent use of the language, from one of our fellow championship teams clubs.

What's the point?

At least he took the trouble to not type in Welsh, then we'd have no chance!

Welcome to the forum lee trundle although not the greatest first post to endear yourself to the Forest supporting community.

Firstly, it's NFFC.
Secondly, we're far from doomed.
Thirdly, we didn't let Commons go for FREE.
Fourthly, we don't care whether you can see where the points are coming from or not.
Fifthly, it's early days yet regarding new signings.
Sixthly, '6 easy points'? Now you're making me laugh.  :D

Ha ha, what a joker.

Your one season of ridicilous good fortune has passed mate. You're a third tier club and nothing more and I look forward to seeing you jokers crash next season.

None taken.

One swallow doesn't make a summer, with our current squad yes, we would struggle undoubtedly.  Which is why I would prefer to wait 'til I see what signings we make until I decide how I might predict things to go.

Brizzle have had a tremendous season, seasons like that aren't always easy to follow up, as we've found out in the past.  I wouldn't count your chickens just yet, but I do rate Johnson and think he has enough about him to still have you challenging next season.

I do think Bristol City are in with a decent shout at promotion again, probably playoffs though.

I think both City and Forest will be there or thereabouts for the playoffs, with Bristol probably dropping into them, as they did this season, and us being in with a shout of scraping into them on the last day of the season.

I'd be happy with that outcome.

lol that was a funny post mate. You could have that difficult 2n season that Reading had ! So being so optimistic could be your downfall ;D We're happy to avoid relegation.

Haha just seen the amoutn of replies, you sure did this to get a reaction !

We are a third tier club???

Your having a giggle mate im afraid forest are living in the past and like we found this time last year it is very hard to attract quality to a newly promoted club so as for you getting in any one of class is very unlikely

We are newly promoted with a decent budget and some pedigree, as well as not being located in Wales.

I imagine we will find it less difficult (that's not living in the past, I fully believe we've been where we've been on merit).

But if we can have serious talks with the likes of Earnshaw - a striker proven at Championship level to have very few peers - then I think we shouldn't have too much bother attracting the right kind of player.

Of course, whether Calderwood can fashion those players into a team with sensible and effective tactics remains to be seen, he is our biggest hamstring next season - hopefully he proves me wrong.

You are a joke mate. Firstly get your facts right before you start blabbering complete tosh on here.
Secondly, you have never taken six points of us, I think we have always had the upper hand over you.
Finally I wouldn't be surprised if you're dragged in to the mixer of relegation. Depends how you react to your play off defeat.

Yeah, lets hope you don't lose your star striker Dele Adebola.

I don't even know why I'm involved in this nonsense.

When you got offended at the remark about being a third division team I was confused, as I, like most neutrals know little of your history (with you not having won much) so i thought I'd have a nose at your official page, here fro those that know as little as I about your little team are the details:

1901 Elected to Division Two
1906-11 Division One
1911-22 Division Two
1922-23 Division Three (South)
1923-24 Division Two
1924-27 Division Three (South)
1927-32 Division Two
1932-55 Division Three (South)
1955-60 Division Two; 1960-65 Division Three
1965-76 Division Two
1976-80 Division One
1980-81 Division Two
1981-82 Division Three
1982-84 Division Four
1984-90 Division Three
1990-95 Division Two/One
1995-98 Division Two
1998-99 Division One
1999-2007 Division Two
2007- Division One

I can't be bothered to do the maths (I'm sure someone will) but it does look like you're pretty much a third tier football team.
