Sir John Borlase Warren
Viv Anderson
Very pleased for him today. The guy deserves time to settle in. Let's see what he can do from here.
Early days for that sort of statement, but today was definitely encouragingHe is better than Sangaré and Dominguez imo. Did well today.
Better than Sangare?
I think he is a different type of player completely.
Sangare is an E Type Jaguar; Schlager more a Jeep Wrangler.
He was brilliantHe was very tidy and industrious yesterday. Like the cut of his jib. Be interesting to see if he can hold down that place this season.
That's the beauty of our central midfield. Lots of good options. None of them bad. Sangare, Cheese, Schlager, Yates and Dom. Even MGW, although I'd be loathed to move him back.Decent in the cameo against Leeds, excellent at Anfield and our best player against Spurs. A good start to his Premier League career with us I think.
In the cup game they were all crap.
My preference would be Yates and Schlager. There's a midfield not many will f*ck with.
That’s the first such instance I’ve heard of since the Evening or Football Post did a piece on Jean-Claude Darcheville walking to the ground over Trent Bridge because he was living just across the river. I’m imagining a picture of him on the bridge with his boots slung round his neck, but I might be imagining that…Saw him wandering in down Pavillion Road on Saturday morning. Without my glasses, can't make anyone out from a distance and just thought to myself 'this guy looks like a cool dude...top to toe in red Adi Originals...tracky bottoms, t-shirt, tracky top over his shoulder....wish I was that brave'. Then I realised it was Schlager and he was made to wear it.
Like the idea that he'd just hopped off the #1 South Notts from town, but no doubt he's not living far away. Either way, got to like a Premier League footballer who walks to the ground on match days.
Probably just had a wander to the shops from his apartment in the old Rushcliffe council building behind the Southbank bar.Perhaps he was dropped off at the top of the road. Or maybe the club have temporarily put in him in one of those river flats that Kevin Pietersen might have described as a really dangerous place to live. Was impressed he was on foot though. Had just assumed all PL footballers arrived in sports cars with tinted windows and drive straight through the car park. Carrying his man bag that all footballers seem to have. Doubt there are a pair of Puma Kings in any of those now though sadly.
Glad he doesn’t take fashion tips from the French national team. Would take a red Adidas originals tracksuit any day over these.Saw him wandering in down Pavillion Road on Saturday morning. Boots around the neck, reminds me of the classic statue of Cloughie in the park in Middlesborough as he runs through to training. It's my favourite of him. That’s the first such instance I’ve heard of since the Evening or Football Post did a piece on Jean-Claude Darcheville walking to the ground over Trent Bridge because he was living just across the river.
