Unless it's a simple misunderstanding after Glasner wanted a bottle of Goldschlager from the shops.

Other thing I'm not very keen on is two pretty significant cruciate injuries as well as another ligament injury in the last 5 years.

On a two year contract, free transfer for experience it'll do, but hopefully it won't be the most significant addition in centre mid.
 
I've seen him a few times and thought he looked decent. I had an inkling that I had a dislike for him but then realised that it was because previously I'd signed him on a free on Football manager and he basically turned the entire squad against me. He felt like I should be giving another player more game time, the fact that the player actually played in his position didn't seem to matter.

Not enjoying the shade from Ornstein in saying that he rejected "Elite" clubs and RB Leipzig for Forest though.
 
Sounds like something I got p*ssed on in Innsbruck.

Main benefit might be OG having one of his own on the playing side right from the off - knowing he has a very specific character type in there early.

I've been doing a Glasner recreation at Forest over the past week and Schlager was my first signing on a free. Maybe Syrianos and the Big Man are doing the same?

If it works out it would be a hell of a sensible signing. Glasner likes his midfielders to play on the opposite side of their best foot, so Schlager being left-footed will play as a 6 on the right hand side and Sangare beside him on the left.

Interesting times ahead, especially with who we spend that warchest on (Personally in the FM24 universe i took on Bergvall, Santi Castro, Gudmundson, Baumgartner and Scalvini!)

Yeah it's odd unless Yates or Sangare are off which is surely highly unlikely. Dom has just been given the 8 shirt so he's going nowhere. To me this is just adding numbers isn't it as there's no chance we're plugging that Anderson-shaped hole in midfield with a freebie that has a recent history of knee injuries.

Does he play any other position? Must say I watched a couple of Austria games and can't say I remember him at all.
