Ive just been made aware of the new site called www.freeforest.co.uk i wondered if anyone knew who set this up!? Ive just been reading it and i cannot believe that some fans would write and feel like that about the club they love.

Any thoughts?

Nottingham Forest i believe is in a very healthy state and on a course of gaining promotion to the premiership. It may not be happening as quickly as we would like but i know we will be there in a year or two!

its a few years old mate, was set up as a knee-jerk reaction to the yeovil play off defeat and hasn't been updated since.

It's not a new site my friend, it has been around for a few years.

Everyone is entitled to an opinion but that site's one sided and mis-informed rants really do suck.

Not this old chestnut again. Best to forget you ever found that website and get on with your life instead.

Cheers guys,

Ive never seen it before! it did make me laugh! I wont be going back to it anytime soon!

What happened to Kilburn anyway?

He went the same way as Nick Doyle, Spring Heeled Jack and Brogs, last I heard they'd formed a skiffle group in Rochdale

Like everyone has said this aint a new site, I have been ignoring the inane rantings from that site for years.

If you subscribe to their mailing list you can ignore a weekly summary of the site in your inbox. I've also recently started ignoring their Twitter and Facebook updates.

I'm a little unsure, is this an old site that isn't regularly updated?

I was hoping that nonsense wouldve been shut down by now.

Though reading some of mark arthurs quotes on there - its no wonder the fans still get annoyed every time he opens his mouth.

Yeah, it's not like Doughty and Arthur are pulling out the stops to prove them wrong is it. Perhaps someone should start up a website with all their successes on it - should be good for a laugh !

I'm fairly sure that all these people are friends of mine on Facebook.

Please don't take offence, but aren't you a little old to be on Facebook Dave? I'm 29 and that's pushing it, I feel like a Grandpappy most of the time with all these "LOLs" and "PMSLs" and "brappppps" I have no idea what is going on most of the time.

May find this useful for unlocking the youth talk

Dick Inches

Arbitrary (and usually incorrect) units of measurement used mostly by males. Derives from men overestimating their penis size. Dick inches are much shorter than actual inches. Hence a guy can claim to have a 9 inch penis when it is actually closer to 5-6 inches. The term "dick inches" is usually used when over-estimating non-penis measurements.

fellow one: "Finally! There's a parking spot!"
fellow two: "No way, man...You can't park within 30 feet of a stop sign."
fellow one: "There's plenty of room."
fellow two: "Yeah, only if you're measuring in dick inches."

And the alternative is ?

And the alternative is ?
There is no alternative, everyone knows that. Every single Doughty fan will tell you that when he eventually leaves there will be no more Forest.

However, what's best for the club:
1 So called fan of a chairman with no interest in taking it forward.
2 Someone else with drive and ambition with a dedicated interest in taking us back to the glory days.

Moot point though as Doughty won't sell, won't accept outside financial help and has no intention of taking us forward with the knowledge that he has a strong fan base to keep putting dosh in

Three type's of owners seem to be around at the moment....

1. Those who wish to make money out of a club

Scholar and his gang who destroyed Forest as we knew it, are a prime example of this type of carpetbagging owner. Liverpool's and Man Utd's owners are heading down the same route. Derby's owners are recouping their outlay at the expense of team building.

2. Those with either money to burn and ego's to match, or as various rumours would suggest a front for shuffling money about the globe. Very thin on the ground, rare as rocking horse poo.

3. Owner supporters, like our very own Nigel Doughty, succesful self made business man who actually supports Forest, but has not got a bottomless pit of cash to throw at the club to buy success. So welcomed as a saviour but reviled by many because he will not ruin himself or the solid financial base he has developed for the club with stupid, rash monetary moves.

Fans who welcomed him now spit venom in his direction and support many theories of how he is milkiing the club and fans. After all why else would he continue to pump money into the club to keep it afloat, if all he had to do was keep the fans happy, sell players and reap the huge financial rewards on offer ?

Dream on...

So tell us, which current Championship owners would you prefer instead of Doughty?

Oh dear, yet another one blinded by the "Doughty is our saviour, without him there is no club". If he cannot afford / refuses to back the club then why not simply sell up and give someone else a chance. Surely he can still be a fan without being the owner can he not....

Perhaps if he didn't charge so much interest on the "loans" he gives the club then perhaps there would be more money for transfers ( oh silly me, we don't do them anymore do we.... )
