Wonder where CC will end up?

Norwich, Southampton, and now Carlisle are all rumoured to be interested, hope he dosen't try to pilfer any of his ex players if/when he gets a job, wouldn't put it past ND to let him though !, even if he did give him the boot, money in the coffers and all that.

If he did join any of the mentioned clubs and any of our players wanted to leave us for cash strapped Norwich or Southampton or L1 Carlisle then let them, they cant have much ambition in the game. Billy Davies has said that no one will be leaving as the squad is so thin already so i dont see him pinching any should he get a job!

Interesting though to see where he ends up. Probably League 1 or 2. Don't think any CCC side will take a punt on a manager who has no CHampionship pedigree.

Good luck to the man in whatever step he takes next,I would'nt worry about him raiding our best assets either with the situations those clubs find themselves in.I'm not sure he'll ever properly exceed in management unless if he is given a large budget at a club again like he did at ourselves and Northampton,he had the right ideas but did he ever learn tactically and did he ever gain any man-management skills whatsoever:wacko:

Would Norwich or Southampton be interested in a manager that was no better then what they have, or had, with us all being in the same position. Mind you, football is the only industry where someone is sacked for being deemed no good and moving on to another job straight away. Quite how Gary Megson polished his turd I'll never know !!

Southampton or Norwich are unlikely to be interested. Calderwood's Championship pedigree is somewhat in question.

Can you imagine trying to put a spin on appointing the manager one of your relegation rivals sacked for being out of his depth?

Carlisle is more realistic, as is Walsall.

I'd say he'd be a good candidate for that job.

Did he upset the fans at all with all that 'nervous as bunnies' stuff?

Yep , i wish him well wherever he end up. He's a nice guy who is unfortunately out of his depth in the championship but he left us with a very good young squad that will go places in the future.

Wouldn't have thought so, they don't seem quite as reactionary as the Brizzle Welshies.

Plus unlike when he made comments about Brizzle, in this instance he was correct.

The good tidings are slightly boring.

Do any of the well-wishers really care if Calderwood makes a hash of his next job and hops back on the merry-go-round?

I wish the man no ill, but if he flops again it's really none of my concern.

Why post in this thread then?

I said I wish him well. It doesn't mean I'm going to follow every step of his career like some sort of stalker.

With so many managers these days who appear to be real tossers, CC is one of the gentlemen and I only wish him the very best.

I think he has a bright future ahead of him. I think he may yet make it at Championship level but can't see it before a spell at a lower league club.

Having said all this he is now part of Forest's past and for this reason this thread should be in Football Banter.

The same could be said for Ramos! Doing shite at Spurs and then gets the Real Madrid job!

I hope he gets a decent club, and one that he can do well at. I imagine whichever club he goes to I'll keep an eye on their results.

Here's another question, if he came back to the City Ground with another club would he gets a round of applause? I would like to think he would

I would think that he would get a good reception but obviously the usual 'boo-boys' would be out in full force and make themselves known.

I, for one, would give him a whole-hearted applause.

Agreed, seemed a really genuine bloke. Did a decent job, and i mean decent at best at getting us up. I say that because of the money he spent and wages our players are on (In comparision to other teams in League 1) and it took him a while.

Look what Leicester have done, we never had that consistency, but he did what he had to and we snuck up on the final day. But i suppose at the end of the season the team who accrued the 2nd highest point tally finsih 2nd and it doesnt really matter when / how you get them so he achieved the clubs goals.

Just a pity things didnt work out this season, but he did get us playing some decent stuff at times, unlike when we had Megson for example. I also wish him all the best for the future and will look out for his career.

A lot of people also forget he had a spell as a player for us so another reason to wish him well.

Now lets get behind Billy Davies as you know he'l be comparing our support to the sheep and we (the fans) have got to show some passion tommorow and create a loud positive atmosphere at the CG.

come on the trickies

No , look at Leeds. They are a bigger club than leicester and they are struggling worse than forest ever did under CC , which does goes to show that league one isn't as easy as it seemed especially when you are a "big" club with some history. Even a new manager has failed to inspire them to any kind of winning form.
As far as Leicester goes , Leicester might be up there now but we'll see how it goes in the 2nd half , they just lost their best defender to injury for the season so their promotion wheels might fall off.
