With respect fellas

In my book, when you give the ball back to the opposition you give it back a fair distance back to the keeper and we start again.

You don't give it a couple of yards to the left back then immediately challenge for it. Basically that way you end up stealing yourself a position from an alleged sporting gesture, and on this occasion got Jamie McAllister sent off to boot.

Didn't sit with me well that incident, I'll be honest.

However, ignoring that, I thought we had a good game.
To be honest, our play off chances went with the draw v Preston and the loss to QPR so a win, lose or draw didn't really matter to us yesterday.
Given you really needed a win desperately, I'll buy the result if it helps you fellas stay up.

Surprised Blackstock didn't score - usually he does against us. Anyway - decent bit of fight from Forest and the poor sportsmanship aside, I thought you still look a reasonable side.

I believe we will meet again next year.

Gunter gave him plenty of time to clear it, he farted about with it taking the piss, encouraging Gunter to challenge. The keeper blatantly time wasting anyway

BLACKSTOCK SCORED A BEAUTY :)

We should never have given the ball back in the first place from that throw in. The keeper faking injury to waste time was an absolute disgrace,, should have been booked to be honest it was that ridiculous. He got what he deserved with 2 late goals going past him.

LOL spot the obvious mistake.

I haven't read a single report since the game and cleared off straight after to scotland for work. Didn't think it was Blackstock.

I take back my earlier comment but not the one about the ball back to McAllister. That wasn't right in my book. PS - I'd criticise us if we did the same thing.

I disagree I didn't think Basso overly wasted time with injury faking.
If the ball is put out for an injury you should give it back but you don't give it a couple of yards then tear after it.

Admittedly McAllister was fking about but that's not my point.

For the first goal?

If so he didn't, he just spilled it.

Lol pee off about the keeper and ball back.

For a start you broke a rule becuase as he was treated he must leave the field of play, ok its not often enforced with a keeper and would cause cahos but still!

Why is a goalkeeper getting cramp after 80 minutes of standing around not doing much? Something smelt a bit fishy...and it wasn't Baldrick's apple crumble!

I don't really care how sporting or unsporting we were. Sometimes, three points is much greater than being popular. I personally think that there was enough time for him to clear it away if he had really gone for it, but he strolled. Whether I'm right or not is irrelevant, it's done now. I suspect if the boot was on the other foot, there wouldn't be any Bristolians showing much sympathy.

He was clearly faking and taking the p**s, I wouldn't have given you the ball back period. A goalkeeper with cramp ?

We did give you it back and you f**ked about with it - How long did you want us to give you for Gods sake ? we were behind and needed a goal, you were happy to waste time, you work it out.

Christ we gave you two goals what more do you want.

I think Gunter could've been yellow carded for unsporting behaviour however, he did give back possession and therefore he was allowed to challenge meaning that the referee couldn't pull it back I guess. McAllistar still shouldn't have done what he did and he quite rightly got the 2nd yellow. It's all well and good complaining but one of the main rules of football is play to the whistle.

Basso continually went down when the ball was originally kicked out for him to get treatment he looked like he didn't need it. It is understandable why I think we would've done the same in that position.

At the end of the day we essentially needed the points more than you. Regardless of whether or not you were down to 10 men we still had to create and finish those 2 chances late on and I think we did win fair and square overall even if there was a bit of controvesy before the 2nd yellow carded challenge.

Six of one and half a dozen of the other?

If Basso hadn't been so clearly trying to kill a bit of time then the whole situation wouldn't have happened and Bristol would probably have won.

The throw in from Gunter was hardly strong enough to reach the byeline and encouraged the defender to do what he did. He fell for it and the referee for Gunter's dramatics. I don't like unsporting things like that being done by my team, but on this occasion I'll forgive and take the three points that resulted! :D

I can imagine some of the things we'd be saying if it had been done to us by a team managed by Neil Warnock though.

We thought we were doing the right thing by giving the ball to mcallister because it would be unfair to give the ball back to somebody who had been 'injured'. :D

The ball was thrown back and initially Gunter stood and watched. The left back could have let it roll out for a goal kick, or, having controlled it, he had plenty of time to play a pass or clear it.

Once he stood there taking his time, and given the stage of the game, I think Gunter is perfectly within his rights to put him under pressure.

Why? There is no rule stating you have to give the ball back, even though he did and the left back then took the piss.
