Okay Guys Wilson has agreed a deal to come to Celtic in the summer , Celtic would like him now but you guys are taking the piss over the money wanted , hearing up here you guys might get the big dutch rock from us Loovens as part of any deal now .

This has been rumoured for quite some time now so comes as little surprise if confirmed.

In Wilson you will have a good central defender who will deliver the goods as long as he's happy and Neil Lennon's happy with him. Had a few temper control issues and was known to lash out when the red mist descended but I do believe the boy's grown up since then and will continue to mature into a fine player.

Since the talks, Kelvin hasn't played much for us but this season he's really developed his game and it's with sadness that I read of his departure.

As for 'you guys are taking the piss over the money wanted', that's business. Clubs negotiate the best deal possible and thrash it out until the deal is done.

Works both ways so I fully expect us to being rogered from both ends this month. ;)

I've always liked him, even when he was being pilloried in our first year back in the Championship I thought his class shone out at times.

Even though he's not played much this year I still think he's our most complete CB. He's composed and as a result we distibute the ball from the back a lot better when he plays and his anticiptaion and pace make him one of the best at this level on the cover and in one v one's.

Loovens did well at Cardiff but as far as I can remember he's a different type of defender to Kelv.
 
Can't blame him, footballs a job at the end of the day and he has to look out for himself, we can call the football shit etc etc but he will be on a much bigger wage there than he will here
 
Not leave a big of a hole if he had been playing instead of Chambers. Defensive signings are a must now.
 
At least this way we have plenty of time in which to replace him. Lets face it, we have nobody to blame but ourselves if we're bothered about him going on a free. We could have offered him a new contract or accepted the cash that Celtic offered us initially and we did neither.

Good luck to him and hopefully he can help us get promoted as a goodbye gesture.

Well he's generally played as a left sided centre back and we're not particularly good at finding defenders that play on that side of the pitch...
 
I'm a Celtic fan but Forest are my English team so I would appreciate if anyone can tell me what he can/can't do etc
 
i just find the fact that someone how has been offered probably £4000 a week to stay at forest has turned it down thats just plain greedy!
 
This has been agreed for ages, Celtic offered him stupid amounts a week more than Forest. Forest couldn't come close to matching the wages offered. He is a young player still and who can blame him for accepting more money?
 
Seems silly to let Wilson go for free when it will cost #nffc at least £1m to get a replacement.
 
So if someone offered you a new job that would quadruple your salary you would say - no thanks that's too greedy, didn't think so!

As for Wilson... good luck, etc. Anyone wanting to know how Forest rate him - he's nearly as good as Morgan and Chambers at the moment.

He's a central defender with pace and passing ability. He's an intelligent player who covers well, and he should step up to the challenge of playing for Celtic.

On the downside he's not the strongest of defenders, and when his heart's not in it's noticable to all. At his best, though, he's brilliant. Good luck for the rest of the season.
