Oi... my Freelander 2 will sit comfortably at close to 100 m.p.h. (or so my Mrs tells it does. I wouldn't know, myself).
Remember my old landy specialist mechanic being worried he might go out of business a few years after they bought out the Freelander 2 as it was so reliable.

My mate has got one of the new ones. It was almost £150k and is about 300bhp so they can shift once you get it moving.

Must confess my Land Rover experience was about 60 years ago or possibly longer, so I bow to the greater, more modern knowledge of my friends.

They're a different animal these days. This one is pretty much exactly the same as my mates.

It says a lot about Boly that I had to go to the bottom of page 6 on the forum to find his thread, and perhaps that's where he needs to stay.

He needs to retire at the end of the season, or at least drop down a level or two as tonight he was a bomb scare and it's not really like him to look so off it. Even last year when called upon he slotted in with reasonable comfort but he looked like a fish out of water tonight. Responsible for 2 goals in my opinion and should've had a penalty given against him.

I would hope that's the last we'll see of him in a Forest shirt now.

Unfortunately he's been put in the Europa League squad ahead of Cunha and either Hutchinson or Zinchenko.

Nuno's final revenge?

I wonder if the contract extension he received was a reaction to us struggling to sign players earlier in the window? I was for it at the time as I thought he was always a useful player to have in the squad but he was a disaster waiting to happen tonight.

I like Boly and he will always be remembered for his contributions that kept us in the PL but I hope we don't see much more of him now to tarnish the positive memories that we do have.

Hopefully all that talk of Boly being better than Morato disappears for good now. He’s been a good servant for us and clearly important around the training ground but not sure we see him again.

He's been great for us but on tonight's showing there's definitely a reason we haven't had our Willy out for a while

Maybe but we didn't really sign any centre backs. We already had Morato, Milenkovic and Murillo and really only brought in Cunha - the other defenders we added were full backs. And we were linked with Cunha before the CWC started so it wasn't as though that deal was a last minute thing.

I think we just needed another cover option but if he can't do it vs Swansea then that's going to be showed up in the PL or EL.

Looked rustier than some of the metal work in the Main Stand and like he hadn’t even met some of his team mates - neither of which can be an excuse for a player who is meant to be playing the ‘reliable veteran’ role making individual errors.

Thing is that is concerning really on so many levels and so many potential causes.

Boly hardly played last season, if he's rusty because he didn't play, then this season, he is definitely behind the 3 Ms, and probably also Cunha as well, and maybe also Abbott. So how many minutes is he going to get to play into form? When he is called upon he will be needed to be in good condition.

If it's age catching up with him that isn't going to get better either. He was never fast a couple of years ago but read the game well enough for that not to matter. For all 3 last night he was out of position so was that bad reading or just that he couldn't get himself physically where he needed to be?

So many changes in one go makes things uncertain a bit more and to an extent you don't see that in a league game where usually there's not anywhere near as many, but if Boly needs to slot in at some point then it will probably be because we're low on CBs anyway.

I really like Boly and I'm sure he's good to have around the dressing room but he was crap at Exeter last season and crap at Swansea last night. Shouldn't be near our starting XI. Don't mind him coming on for 20 minutes or so at the end when the opposition is tiring.

I love Boly but I thought it was pretty clear last season his legs have totally gone.

I find it a little bizarre hes not in the 25 man squad, but a keeper ruled out for the season is.

Is he on the move? Or injured? Did he shit in the teapot?

Everyone at the club forgot he exists.

Should have sold him to West Ham. I saw West Ham were in for that Niakhete waste of space (can’t spell his name) made me think Nuno was the guy behind that failed transfer last season. So you know full well he’d take Boly.

I noticed he wasn't in that picture of the whole squad at training this week either. Hopefully he took a pay cut for that year's extension he got as it wouldn't surprise me if he's not even around the club anymore.

Surprised this thread wasn’t updated with Willy Boly not being retained at the end of the season.

He will be missed on the training pitch, with his never ending energy. Some will say this is just hyperbole but it’s true.
