Just recently ive seen some people comment that they would cut ties with the club should we get relegated back to the third tier of English football. Personally, if we do go down, I feel it will be incredibly difficult to come back up (even more difficult than the last time), and the club will languish in lower leagues for the foreseeable future. I dont think id renew my season ticket, but I certainly wouldnt "cut all ties" with the club.

Thoughts?

Renew whatever.

This isn't like marraige, you're commited for life.

And when we're winning European Cups I can be one of those "I was there when..." Old men.

I don't have a season ticket, but I will be at the City Ground next season for the games I can make.

It doesn't make any difference what league we are in, I'll still turn up. It's in the blood

I didn't renew this season, have a family to spend time with now. Have still made it to 6 games, and seen another 5 on tv so far, and will no doubt continue with the same level of interest next season.

the only way i would renew my season ticket if we go down is if billy the squid isnt here anymore.

I am desperately trying to move up to Nottingham to be closer to my team so there is no danger of me not renewing.

Even if I am still in London, I will be there for every game without fail.

I do understand people deciding to not bother anymore if we go down. People with families and older fans who have have followed us for so long and just dont have the energy anymore, however I'll still be there if we go down and I'll still be there if we went down to league two and even if we went down again!

Saturdays would be boring without Forest, thats for sure :)

I'll hopefully be in a position to get a season ticket next year, and to be honest the league we're in won't affect that decision.

next season i'll have my very first season ticket, regardless of what league we're in

My season ticket is a Forest World subscription, and I never miss a game. But If we are relegated, I'll view that as a business decision made at the highest level, and I'm probably not going to spend another season's Saturday afternoons missing out on whatever my friends are doing as I lurk in the back room listening to a low quality audio feed when the technology to stream the match to my pc live has been around for years at an affordable price. Ultimately though I'm working hard for my money and I'm not about to hand it over to people who aren't working hard for theirs, and won't invest it wisely.

There's a lot of clubs pushing the boudary that separates supporters from mugs, I don't want to see Forest become one of them. But my decision won't be made off the back of forum rumours about whose fault everything is, the time I stop following the match as it happens, be that in person or on the best alternative the club can be bothered to allow me, is when I've spent too long without feeling any happiness from it.

I deal with a lot of misery in my working life, I'm not going to go on showering myself in it for 'fun' at weekends indefinitely. And I really have no enthusiasm for the league below us at all, as a football fan.

Either way I doubt I'll be able to commit myself to many games next season sadly. Obviously it is foolish to cut all ties whatsoever and it is the casual fans who aboarded the optimism train after promotion who we'll lose again.

Must admit I've had thoughts about whether it's worth the expense and heartache, but I imagine heart will rule head and season ticket will be dutifully acquired.

I was considering this very thing earlier.

Last season I watched Forest play crap football in League 1.

This season I've watched them play crap football in the Championship.

Last season it cost me less and I actually saw Forest win a fair few games ... hmmmmm

I go down much as possible, when I am not busy.
I'll be there, Forest Til I Die!

I clicked 'cut all ties'
I don't know if I mean it or not, every trip to Forest is special for me, I only go three maybe four times a year, so the whole experience, from getting on the train to the post match fish and chips in Leicester holds memories and excitement, but I can't face another year in division three. I won't go again, I won't even renew my subscription to FW, Saturdays will be spent doing other things.
