Whether they'll be any good is left to another poll, but just wondered how confidence is holding up in the transfer committee after their good start has slowed down a bit.

I'll take Shittu and Claude Davis.

Claude davis get a lot of criticism but he did very well under Davies at Preston and also did well on his loan spell at palace , it's only at derby that he stunk but hey , according to the derby fans , earnshaw was a drunk and useless and we proved that wrong.

I know the sheep dippers are skint would if be worth trying to tempt them with a £2mill bid for Addison?

I have to say he is a very good player and he would be worth a bid, it might be worth a try?

Now I am usually very psychic about these things. Is it me or is a tinge of pre season negativaty starting to creep in? I may be reading the signs wrong but there's just something...

Calderwood's regime has really got us jittery. Am I being forgetful or has Billy Made some good choices so far. Was Dexter and Gunter a panic selection in january? We may not have someone in by Saturday, but that doesn't mean we are going down. We have 27 days before the window shuts. Billy may have already started a contingency when he realised John Ryan was a greedy, time wasting w**k stain.

All our good work in the summer might get undone if we start with the same defence because while our attacking options are gelling over the next few weeks , our weak central defence is still liable to crack at anytime. I like Wes but chambers is not a right partner for him.
We need a big tall strong defender in defence who can deal with crosses into the box.

The best Defence is Attack, so we should be ok as long as we can keep hold of the ball.

I don't think we'll have one in time to play for the game, obviously it will be the end of the world and Billy, Mark Arthur, Nigel Doughty and the rest of the board will have their heads called for because we were awful in the transfer window because the previous signings have been here long enough to be forgotten about now.

We will turn to the loan market if need be,we will be signing at least one defender though in a left back or central defence position.Lynch can be moved back into his natrual position.

I b****y hope not.

We need permanant signings this season, even though the announcement of Blackstock coming here on loan was absolutely f***ing brilliant! ;D

I guess the options are now more limited than they were, in terms of who we would want as well. Jones, Mills and Barker have moved elsewhere. It's now doubtful whether coventry will let any more defenders go after dann and fox, possibly ruling out Ward while question marks surround whether Whitbread could make the step up or whether hes the right type of character we need. dont know why we dont look at sol campbell, thought not sure bout his wages?
