So then, after all the moaning, record breaking threads and public tantrums from the manager; with 2 working days left. Will we sign any new players before 5pm on 31st August?
 
I have a feeling we will sign someone we haven't actually been linked with and pratley and whitts have been a smoke screen to throw clubs off the scent that said players are actually available.

maybe given forest to much credit

It's more likely to be leftover Premier League loans now!
 
It will probably take a while for the prem loans as well. I mean, look how long it took them to get a left back in last season....was it october/november when shorey turned up?
 
At least with loan signings you get to look at the player before possibly parting money.

It’s plain and simple, no one wants to do business with us, Leeds sign a very good player from Cardiff with little or no hassle, yet we create such confusion and an almighty kerfuffle in trying to sign one player and fail to complete and close out the deal.

No. And tbh I'm sick of all the rumours and speculation, especially surrounding the future of the club and Doughty possibly selling up. Don't know if there's any truth in it. Arthur's comments about Whittingham and Pratley annoyed the hell out of me, so stupid, and I would have thought made it even less likely if anything that we'd sign either of them, doubling the asking price, and making both clubs much less inclined to want to deal with Forest.

fans will have every right to be angry as well, after going so close last season and then letting another opportunity slip by by not strengthening, especially after shelling out even more money on season tics year after year.

I guess there may be some prem loans after the 25's have been submitted
 
the problem with loans is we'd need to wait 'til early October if we want them for Christmas/New Year period of games.

I'm not sure what ND wants the club to achieve this season should the club fail to secure a quality signing or 2.
I think it would send out a very negative message if the squad is not improved.

Hence why we are playing with low confidence, because the team isn't getting the financial backing it needs.
