If Monday is a day that one of our targets actually puts pen to paper, who do you suspect it will be?

Or will it be Tuesday or Wednesday but who will we sign first.

Agreed. I wonder if those negotiations appear to be going slowly because of the international matches, plus the fact that Spurs went back a week later than us?

I hope there will be some signings this week, and I think there might be. Going on reports, more than likely going to be Barker and potentially McKenna as our first of the new batch of signings!

I'd expect no transfers will be finalised while we and a few of our targets are away at training camps with their respective teams. It doesn't mean we can't or won't sign anyone but I imagine we'd hold it off if possible until we return. Having said that I believe Barker has agreed to sign for a new club which may be us already but it's yet to be finalised with medical yet to be done. Would our physio/club doctor being away with the team be a problem on this front?

I dont think so.

Tottenham are waiting on there Transfer activity. With Bale being linked with a move away, and we dont know who they are bringing in, I wouldnt be surprised if it was end of July/beginning of August.

There will still be physios and doctors at the club, because a number of players will still be here, Earnie and Perch for example, who will need people there while training. And also Perch has a knock that needs to be looked after

Earnie is out with the squad isn't he? But yeah, good point about Perch. Still would think we are more likely to get back before signing people. Flying people out to join a half done training camp that will be tailored to suit the time we are out there and be progressive over the time would make me think it'd be better for them to hold off a few days if possible, that is provided they continue to train with the selling club so fitness doesn't drop. I'm not explaining my thought process very well am I? lol

Earnie's out there. Perch and Bennett are the only two senior lads who aren't.

If we're signing Gunter permanently then I'd imagine Forest will want it finalising asap, if it's a loan deal then Spurs will probably hold off until they've done their business.

I expect any season long loans will go through late as usual as you say so the club the player is coming from can be certain they aren't required.

Several deals are probably at advanced stages in which case with the likes of Barker for example if he was to choose Forest to come to then Arthur would be dealing with the paper work etc.

The club doctor won't be on tour with the lads so any medicals that need sorting will be sorted.

I'm sure all of our targets will have the mobile number of Billy Davies (and visa-versa) should they need to talk so I cant see any problems with signing anyone even whilst we're away.

Personally I shall be by my phone all day tomorrow hoping for a call with some inside info.

I have a gut feeling something will happen on more than one front between now and Wednesday so let's all keep positive.

A lot of the more 'medical' parts of the medical are done at a private hospital anyway.

Anyway, I'm going to guess Majewski as a lot of international papers are reporting this as a done loan deal.

Either that or Barker.
