Is there no thread about the imminent takeover of the club by an Irish consortium?

I've just come back off holiday, and I can't see one anywhere.

I presume it's got it's own sub forum has it? :whistle:

Thanks Ravi. Well that's laughable, it really is, loving how people there are checking wikipedia for facts. If there's any truth in this rumour I'll eat all my hats. And as for writing this season off already, pfft!

Just read the other thread on there about the take over... They (I know it's vital) seem pretty convinced something is in the air. Having a read most of it is based on assumptions... The people who claim to be ITK are different from the usual guys and even the usual ITK's like Jom have changed their tune... I'm thinking that if there is anything in the pipeline then we'll see... I'd imagine the best source on here would be Sedgered... Saying that I think it's false and wishful thinking on
their part and change is on it's way but not through the ownership of the club!!
 
The people who are usually in the know (and mostly turn out to be bollocks) have seemingly changed their tune as to not be seen as out of the loop, thus backing up their fairytale contacts and sources.

That said, I think a fresh start for the club wouldn't be a bad thing.

Maybe, but at least the benefit of the doubt should be afforded to the poster with the information before castrating him!!! Planegate being a prime example, I think there is truth in what was said, maybe not all of it but some of it!! Now this other stuff on here today only backs up the planegate post... Best to keep an open mind before you make yourself look an arse....

Pessimistic yes, cocky... No!! One day they will get something spot on and you'll be made to look an arse if you castigate it... At the end of the day they are fellow fans like you or I ....

I don't necessarily buy into the suggestion that everything on Vital is bollocks - with everything on this site being kosher. This latest Irish takeover may have a semblance of truth - however the MON link is dubious in the extreme since those spreading this rumour seem to ignore one basic fact. Messrs Magnier & McManus are certainly minted but they hail from the Republic Of Ireland. MON is from north of the border & as such carries a UK passport. These guys, if this story has any legs at all, would surely want one of their own at the helm - Keane, O'Leary, etc.
 
Haha.. even I don't think everything (or indeed, nearly anything) on this site is Kosher!!
