Agreed

That Calderwood fellow always got players in - Davies couldn't sign a football pitch sized autograph book with a fountain pen.

Jan - failed to sign anyone
Close season - failing again

We're going down

Davies out!

The club is purposely doing it to piss you off , don't you know ? Go slit your wrist or something , maybe you'll feel better ?

Yeah, this BANG out of order! Anybody would think that Transfer Window was closed, or something.

Oh. Wait....

A watched kettle never boils. We should all look away for a bit.

Well.....

I put some water in my kettle earlier, switched it on and watched.

Two minutes and forty-three seconds later it boiled.

What does that say?

I imagine things will be quiet for a while as everyone disappears to warmer climates.

There's plenty time to site our targets and open / re-open discussions concerning transfers and moves. I understand that work is already underway in certain areas so I fully expect to see a few names join us for our pre-season matches but wouldn't be surprised for a couple of last minute surprises.

We must keep up with D*rby and their "sexy" signings ::)

Wrong. The whole idea of putting the kettle on is to introduce a natural pause into the day when you can adjust your bra, think over the news of the day and begin to comment philosophically on the nature of modern life. You can also open a suitable packet of biscuits. The close season serves exactly the same purpose.

Admittedly, if you switch it on, it will boil (as long as it's plugged in).

No, Nice biscuits or bourbon creams if at a party.
what do you think an acceptable amount of biscuits to take is when offered ? the trouble is i'm a mug of tea to half packet of biscuits ratio man at home but always feel awkward when a host offers some biscuits , i begrudgingly take two when i really want a full handful , would it look rude if i up the ante and start taking three when the oppurtunity arises? two hob nobs or digestives isn't too bad but when you come up with rich tea fingers then two obviously isn't enough plus you get the added problem of speed dunking as they tend to collapse quicker than derby's premier league survival plan did last year , am i the only one faced with such biscuiting issues ?

two and no more, but if the biscuits are thin (nice, rich tea fingers, etc) you may go back for further two but you should leave 1/2 out of politeness.

Clearly one should not dunk under any circumstances when in polite company

thanks for clarifying that ( i thought three might be pushing my luck ) , i obviously have poor biscuiting etiquette .......dunking ! what was i thinking of ? i'll keep that reserved for home purposes .

if you had the nerve to come to my house and consume half a pack of biscuits (of your choosing) for the duration of one cup of tea, to be fair Id possibly offer you the rest of the pack with a follow up cup of tea some 2 minutes later when my kettle has re-boiled. the offer stands.
