Why does everyone say Adebola is crap!!! He is a very good asset and has played a part in alot of Forest's goals this season.
 
He was worth bringing to the club for his performance at cardiff

I find a lot of comments about him come from people who don't regularly watch Forest - at least in my circle of friends. Then there's a scapegoat squad, who'll blame the first person that comes to mind. Adebola's been a good player for Forest and I think he would get into 80% of championship teams week in, week out.

Took the words right out of my mouth, I don't think we brought him in to be a 20 goal a season striker, we brought him in to hold up play and lay it off to his partner. He is the best in the whole squad at doing that, and does his job fantastically. It would be a shame if he leaves in January
 
I can see why Billy brought in big Dele; he offers something none of our other forwards do, a genuine physical presence who can unsettle defenders.

He is a great option to throw on late in games whether we are chasing a game or need a goal!

Also remember he has vast experience too, something which will be of value in the dressing room.
 
Anyone who has issues with Dele maybe should take a long hard look at their football knowledge and ability to spot quality. Dele is what he is; a man mountain who is as brave as a lion and has surprising skills and pace. He always causes problems for opponents. There were a variety of ways Direby could have been beaten last night and Dele could easily have been part of the thrashing dealt to Direby. The manager's job is to put out a team with a certain method of play - last night, he got it absolutely spot on, but could have put out a team including all those on our bench and achieved the same result (with a slight adjustment of tactics). BUT, I wouldn't replace Tudgay with him!
 
I totally agree. The art is having options within a squad to ensure flexibility in all areas to suit and counteract/counterbalance any opponent eventuality.

We need a balance and Pele Adebola provides us with strengths we require such as height, presence, awareness and experience. Of course, it's dependent upon who we're playing against but I think Billy has proved time after time again that we do need a target man such as Adebola up front and I trust him to play him at the right time for precision impact.

I would use the same argument for the likes of Tyson. Great player with specific strengths.

Play to our strengths.
 
Love it when adebola comes on and scares the shit out of the defenders.. they dont no how to handle him and really cant he just bashes through them :)
 
He's a victim of the Americanisation of British sports. American's are obsessed with stats. Take a look at American football, where Quarterback are often judged, not on if they won the game, but on how many yards they threw the ball, or the percentage of passes they completed.

For the record, Adebola's stats are:- 3 goals in 47 appearances. Therefore, he must be rubbish.

I think you've hit it on the head there Billy - I don't remember a time when he's started or come off the bench when anyone has said anything derogatory - in fact everyone around where I sit are all encouragement and there seems to be an air of excitement when he does come off the bench when we are in need of a goal or Billy wants to protect a single goal lead.

Same as you - I think the ones that post all the shite about Ade are the armchair brigade who want to be heard but won't get their arse down to the CG.

For what he cost (NAFF ALL) he's been a great asset to the side.
