Who will be our main play-off rivals in our 4th season of third flight football

Does what it says on the tin? :)

Its a pity we are leaving behind the glamour ties of the Championship.

Potentially, Newcastle, Derby, Leicester, Stoke, Shef x2 etc would all have been waiting.

There is no doubting clubs with average attendances of 10k ish like Preston, Doncaster, Barnsley, Blackpool, Plymouth are much more deserving of a place in the Championship. Afterall they have the buying power generated by their turnover.

Our obvious rivals for the play-off places has to be the fellow relegated clubs, Charlton & Southampton. Leeds might still be down there, in addition to some of the stronger clubs like Hartlepool, Walsall, Northampton and Colchester.

Promoted fourth flight clubs traditionally offer a good account so this throws Brentford, Exeter and Rochdale into our probable play-off scramble.

Burton Albion and Notts County will be plying their trade one table below and if we stay down as is only to be expected given the lack of ambition about the club I believe there is every possibility of us playing Notts County in the league 2010-2011.

Not sure if World Cup football will be visiting either in 2014. :ph34r:

this is a disappointing reaction to a good performance today. We are down but not out.

Come on Kilburn. Don't be so defeatist and negative.

Where there're points to be earned then there's a chance. Tell me truthfully, that there isn't still a small piece of hope in your heart. You have Forest in your blood and you'll be there.

It's important that everyone still has the belief that we can avoid relegation otherwise we may as well just hang up our boots now.

As for next season, we can worry about that next season.

The game against Barnsley will determine everything, draw/lose and we'll be playing Swindon again. Win, and who knows, hopefully we'll go on a good run.

I think we need another center back to pair Morgan in defence, an experienced one, Wes always looks a better defender with Brecks by his side, but because his legs have gone another experienced defender could really bring the best out of Morgan, it might just give us enough to stop us shipping goals.

I don't think we should get another striker, as much as I would like one, lets just put our faith in Earnshaw, Tyson and Garner, Earnshaw will score if we give him the chances.

A draw may not be the end of the world depending on how other results go that day,though I believe we'd need to win 3 from the remaining 5 which is a big ask in itself.

we have 2 weeks till barnsley, 2 weeks to get players fit, 2 weeks for the team to get to know each other, mcsheff should be fitter,earnshaw sharper,tyson fresher garner back to full fittness the moose back to his best, we will grind out 3 points from barnsley and things will look rosey again

Come on People, its that time of the season again! At this stage last season, with 7 games to go we'd have never guessed promotion was still on! We were 11 points adrift!
