Who wants it MOST?

Out of the 4 Playoff Clubs involved which Club does everybody think "actually" wants it MOST?
I am in 2 minds over the trade-off benefits of getting huge Prem (& Parachute) payments when compared to the costs of staying in the Prem. (Like - you might be able to afford the purchase of a big new house but with it come massive maintenance & running costs that you cant afford)
I saw it suggested that Car-diff want the payments to pay off debts knowing that they will not invest in new players and just be happy to get spanked every week and come back down with the parachute.
Would Black-poo at management level just be happy with getting a day at Wembley?
I certainly think both Fester and Forest would be looking to go up and stay up. Although maybe ND wants it more?

Between us and leicester I would think. Blackpool really are too small, their achievement is just getting into the play-offs, they will freeze on the day and we will beat them over 2 legs. Likewise Cardiff will choke I think and leciester are probably better than them anyway (plus the prem might not let them in anyway if the rumours about going into admin after the play-offs are true).

Us and Leicester in the final and I believe that's what they call squeaky bum time. Perhaps two successive promotions will be a bridge too far for them? Who knows but I believe BD's experience of this situation should be a big advantage for us and we surely must be strong favourites.

Simple answer - Billy Davies.

Cardiff are skint, and if they don't go up, might be in serious financial trouble. Pressure, pressure...

Leicester have over-achieved this season after coming up from League One, if they went up, they'd have to massively strengthen to avoid getting the same treatment as Derby.

Ian Holloway has also worked wonders at Blackpool - who would have expected them to be challenging for the Premier League?

But for Billy, he has unfinished business in the Premier League. He wants to show the world (or so it seems!) the one unsuccessful period on his CV was not what he's about, and his best chance to do that is with Forest.

I imagine each of the four clubs want to go up in equal measure...

Nottingham Forest relegation haunted Brian Clough says son Nigel

Published 00:00 03/02/09 By By James Nursey

Nigel Clough says his late dad Brian was haunted until his final days by his famous Nottingham Forest reign ending in relegation.
Derby boss Clough, 42, is preparing for an emotional night tomorrow when his improving Rams visit the City Ground for their FA Cup fourth round replay.
At stake is the little matter of a televised home tie against Manchester United.
Clough is guaranteed a warm reception after making 317 appearances for Forest as a striker from 1984-1993 during his father's spell at manager.

Brian, who died in September 2004, is a legend at Forest for winning the League in 1978 and then successive European Cups during his 18-year reign.
But he did preside over the club's relegation from the Premier League in 1993, which sparked his exit and his son's sale to Liverpool for £2.75million.
And Clough junior admits his family's fond memories of Forest will always be tinged with sadness about the conclusion.
"I would say that was the one major regret - that he did leave there with a relegation," said Clough.
"It was for a regret for him especially because despite the 18 years and the number of people who came up to him and said 'it doesn't matter', he always felt that it did."
Clough has turned to England Under-21 boss Stuart Pearce for advice.
"But not this week," he said. "Stuart is Forest through and through."

We're going up, and we're going to do it for Cloughie. Who wants it the most? Its an easy answer.

If it does result in a Forest v Fester Wembley Final (Yes BIG If) do you think both sets of fans can get a chant going before the game starts of "Are you watching Derby Scum?"

I agree with the sentiment that Billy wants this VERY VERY badly. If he can get us up and keep us there for the first season he can think about quadrupling his current salary on the open market.

Id say Blackpool have the most to gain and nothing to loose
Forest will be there regardless in 2 or 3 seasons anyway, so no shit or bust with us
Cardiff have the most to loose, clearly they are screwed if they dont go up
Leicester, despite ripping off many businesses in the area only a few seasons ago by going into admin they still have alot of bridges to mend. Scamming your own fans must be painfull

I'd say we want it the most, we have had the biggest kicks in the nadgers over the last 10 years, and we are hungry to show we belong back in the Prem...

Cardiff want it or in fact need it because of there financial difficulties and with the money they'll get for going up and possibly going back down they'll be able to pay off there debts. forest and Leicester want it because they have had a long vacation away from the prem and are both hungry for a return, Blackpool want it because they have never achieved anything... ever... so a trip to the prem, even if it does mean losing every week, would be perfect for them and would also give them a financial boost. I think they all want it as much as each other all for different reasons.
