Routledge, Murty and Dyer from there.

Would still try and get Michael Tonge from Stoke, Stephen Wright from Wolves (?), Vincent Pericard from Stoke.

I am most impressed by the two lads Watford got in. They are in a worse position than us in the leauge and financially but they made a couple of cracking signings. If only......

Chris Porter who you missed out. Chris Burke who went to Cardiff. Lee Camp or another GK.
Sorry - got it off another website - I'd have taken Ormerod back as back up striker (he wasn't on the list also), Murty would have been worth a punt and Matthew Spring who went to Charlton, David Bell (Coventry).
Im pretty sure we could have realistically have landed all of these targets!

DJ Campbell would have been a gamble worth taking. If not Camp we should have also gone in for Bunn, now at Leicester on loan,to provide Smith with serious competition. And I would definately take someone like Murty righr now ::)

we seem to miss out on everybody. we dont seem to be able to move very quickly for people, as and when needed. most of the people we end up bringing in are always long held targets, who we work at over a long period.

Urrrgh
imagine, if you will, you are trying to sell your TV through the ad-mag.

some guy turns up for a look and says I'll give you £50.
the guy is a little downtrodden, not exactly well off looking.
you think its a bit under what you wanted, but you doubt he will be willing to pay any more, so you take it, or maybe barter for an extra tenner.

only an hour earlier, some guy in a suit polls up in a BMW.
this guy looks flush, so when he says how much do you want, you say... err, £200 mate... thinking he can well afford that.
the guy sees the telly is worth maybe £55 at most, and storms out without another word...

could this be applied? maybe.
