West Ham will listen to offers but I'm not sure what they will be looking for.

Sunderland & Wolves enquired about him in January but was told they wanted £3million.

Could be the answer if the price has dropped by about half that.

At 26 years of age - Height 6' 4" & weighing in at 14st. he might answer a few prayers.

And he's available.

Would be a great addition, however I imagine if he was willing to come to the championship forest would have already looked at him.

I'm not going to call this one cos it's only a whisper but he does want regular football even if it means dropping down to the Championship.

He played in only 8 matches for the Hammers last season and was loaned out in February to Sunderland for their remaining 8 matches where it was thought Sunderland was going to sign him permanently but I think it fizzled out when they realised WH wanted £3m back on him what they paid Spurs.

No one has stepped in yet so WH will possibly listen to offers now and cut their loses.

But he'd add some much needed height and strength, so even a few games on loan would be a good addition.

Depends if he fancies it. If he doesn't get into Zola's squad on Saturday he may be more keen.

Definitely take him on loan - even if only for a month, it would allow him chance to play, get himself in the shop window, and let us sort out who we can bring in on a long term basis.

Signing him permanently would be a real statement of intent.

I'd drive to London to pick him up if he wanted to sign for us, however as I said in the other thread, I don't think he's keen to move on for the moment.

Plus with Upson being linked with Manchester City on a daily basis his chances of getting in the first team may get alot better.

This would be fantastic if only we could negotiate a loan deal with a view to a permanent signing.

I imagine fees and wages would be high but I don't think we have much alternative right now given our predicament.

Seems he doesn't mind dropping down or going on loan - afterall he did go out to Watford on loan and then on to Sunderland.

Have you actually heard anything is going on regarding this or is it just a name you have thrown into the equation?

I think he'd be good, as mentioned, solid, dependable. His agents are Key Sports Managment Ltd. They also have McGoldrick, Garner, Anderson in their stable so commuications should be ok. Saying that, they also have Mills, who didn't come off.

He'll be available for around 900k. In his last year of contract. If we get him we can pull Adebola back to centre half and stick Davenport up front!!!

I don't hear much to be honest but what I do, I try to share it with you like one or two others that frequents these boards.

There are a few things that I hear and they are not always about transfer activities but I have to keep sh-tum because of repercussions to the person that informs me.

Have you heard from any of the other sources that's been pouring in all the rumours all summer lately.
ANSWER: No
WHY: Because Davies & Doughty are furious about the amount of information leaking out of the club that they have put warnings out to all the internal staff.

I aim to be the new great source of information as of the next few weeks as I have it confirmed that I will be neighbours with Mr Davies and we will be sharing leisure facilities when I move into my new apartment this weekend.

If I post any info I get on here is a different matter though. :p

I doubt whether he'll be dropping in asking to loan some sugar or milk either. :-*
