Who else is needed???

Well "if" Lynch, blackstock and the young polish lad sign who else do u think we need?.. What positions or what players?

I personally belive we still need a full back, a center half and a winger. Not mega expensive ones... Maybe Claude on a free, Pearson on free....although Croft would of been a steal. Get Dawson in!! 4mil should swing it. Would love to see Blobby Reid back ...maybe 2mil would do that also... Surley it would be money well spent.

A center half is a must imo. Dont want to see Wilson play a single more game, also dont want lynch to be our only full back in that position..

Would love to see Dawson back here but think he may end up at Pompey if he goes anywhere, I think you could get Reid for alot less than 2m but is he a Davis type player.

I actually think Claude Davis would be worth a punt on a free if he doesn't deliver get rid if nothing else he could be a good squad player and wouldn't be surpised to see him end up here. Still have a sneaky suspision that Mills will come along with the Whitbread bloke if Capello's hunch is correct. Either way Davis obviously sees a centre back as the next piece of team building in his 'to do' list

Its in the transfer section under Zak something or other, Capello started the thread, agree with you about Reid but would be surprised to see him return-shame if he didn't though!

Me too... Just think they should have a go... Left winger is essential. No talk of reid or a left winger so I think the plan may be to Play Tyson there

Yeah and the way things have been recently could still see Mcsheffery being here soon to offer competition in that position

we could do with a left back, centre back, left winger and were there i think. i dont wana see cohen anywhere but centre mid. dont know if this pole plays on the left or not, i aint heard much about him

...although if we stopped now i wouldnt be complaining, this pre seasons already surpassed any for ages

We need a centre-back for sure.

I think we'll play 5 across the midfield against Reading with Earnie up on his own.

Anderson on the right, McGoldrick on the left and both can get in to the box provide support.

This will frustrate Reading like we did last season.

Remember Wes, Luke and Wilson now all have the benefit of a season in the Championship under their belt. We are heading into this season far more prepared for what's to come. If we didn't secure a CB it wouldn't be the end of the world!

Agree that Perch may well suprise a few this season but he needs to be playing with a quality centre back, not a player that has become a crowd fave just because he's a lumbering oaf who occasionally goes on a run and ends up looking like paulo wanchope only worse.

Don't agree. Wes' crazy runs up the field actually serve to distract from just how good a defender he has become.

The defence however is a different issue. With the signings we have made we can only choose from the same guys we put out in the last game of the season (minus Breckin).

Now I was there and we saw that that defence was split open several times in the first half by relegated Southampton.

I am sure Billy will have seen that too and we will see a new defender or two.

We have no natural left winger so I'd like to see one of them come in.

We won't start the season without a new centre back that's for sure.Maybe a left winger,Stephen Pearson is one isn't he and would fit the bill on the cheap.Even more estatic if we sign another left back to provide serious competition for Lynch.

I could see Claude Davies coming in on a free, after all he and BD have history. Agree we need a left back but otherwise I reckon we are there. Tyson to start on left I reckon and I think BD is set to give Anderson the odd run there and also use Davies.
