I'v just saw cardiff have loaned man utd midfielder dan drinkwater from man utd.

Drinkwater is a midfielder=could whittingham be on his way very soon?
 
just because Cardiff signed another midfielder doesn't mean there letting us have Whittingham.
 
Drinkwater scored 2 in 33 appearances for Huddersfield town last season. Kinda suggests he isn't the goalscoring midfielder Cardiff would need to replace Whittingham with...
 
Great news! Thanks capelli, give him what he wants and sign him up! It's gonna cost us though with burnleys paracute payments I feel

There is a Transfer Acquisition Committee here at Nottingham Forest. I'm disappointed but all we can do is wait for Billy to make his reccommendations to the panel, and as I say, this is why the Transfer Acquisition Committee is in place - to then decide who doesn't come and who goes. Just to clarify, there is a Transfer Acquisition Commitee at Nottingham Forest and Billy Davies knows nothing about anything until deals are done or not done, whichever may be the case, following which the chief executive telephones the manager after a few stiff brandy's to inform the manager of what has or hasn't happened. This invariably happens after the majority of fans and the English Press already know. Like I say I'm disappointed but this is why there is a Transfer Acquisition Committee in existence at Nottingham Forest. Less emphasis on 'appointing', and rather more on 'disappointing'.
 
Is it not a coincidence that the lack of transfer activity has coincided with David Pleat being in South Africa commentating on the World Cup. Now his back perhaps the activity may increase (although I doubt it). Perhaps he has been combining his work commitments with some scouting and we are on the verge of signing someone truly great. Somehow I doubt it.

Billy would love us all to believe that but seeing as he's on the AP, I expect he has an inkling.

If there wasn't a 'committee' he'd just be doing the same thing with the Chairman directly. It's not as if he'd be given a cheque book, phone and a list of clubs telephone numbers.

I'm sure Pleat has the numbers of many agents stored in his mobile phone. I suspect the real reason that no deals have been done whilst he's been in SA is that the Aquisition Panel are still debating which SIM card they should purchase for it, and thus he can't access to said numbers.
