Being honest. If 2010 is our year which players do you think are good enough to play at premiership level?

Raddy without a shadow of a doubt.
Camp
Gunter
Cohen
Earnie
Ando
Wilson

Reckon Dex could do a job, would like to think we'd get another striker in though. McCleary also has the potential to, whether he reaches it or not though is another thing.

Looking from the outside in....I said camp, gunter and anderson. Maybe McKenna at a stretch. But I think it's not nessacerally about the individual's. Look at Stoke's first eleven, no great names in there but they work really well as a team. If you get through this bad patch and go up you'll have to hope the same applies for you, either that or billy splashes the cash on a new first team!!!

Is it a bit unfair that I wonder about Gunter because he's so lightweight? Probably not ...

In my opinion

Camp
Gunter
Morgan ?
Anderson
Majewski
Blackstock
Earnie
Cohen
Wilson ?

Mckenna - championship
Tyson - low championship or League one
Mcgugan - Lower champ or league one
McCleary - league one or two
Perch - conference or league two
Lynch - league one or two
Smith - League one maybe Championship
Adebola - League one now
Mcgoldrick - Lower champ or league one
Garner - Lower champ or league one
Chambers - Lower champ or league one
Moussi - championship but maybe one day prem with hard work
Bennett - league one

Marshall.

I've just voted for the ones that aren't.. As I thought this thread was called 'Which players aren't good enough for prem?'

Morgan would get ripped to shreds week in week out so definately ont agree with the 6 people that voted for him! Id say Campy,Gunts,Majewski and Earnie! Would imagine Cohen would be good in time!

Many said the same of Wes when we were promoted to this league.. but he's been our most consistent performer this season.

Not saying he is good enough, but people can surprise you - particularly when playing alongside better players.

I've not voted on any of them because frankly, I have no idea.

Looks like if we do go up we have some spending to do! But I'm guessing some would surprise us.

Excluding Raddy at a 60% cut off we have 6 starts ;).

I don't think you can single out individual players and state for sure whether they're 'good enough' or not, it's a team game - and players around individuals have a bearing on their effectiveness, or indeed, can make up for areas where they may be ineffective.

Frankly so long as we're in the Championship I'm not worried about who could make the step up - we need to do that first!

How in the world has Mcgoldrick got some votes?? He can't make it in the championship never mind the premier league. Also with all this debate about Wes I am confident, if we do go up, Wes could able to make the step up. He'll have Torres in his back pocket.

Camp- Lower Prem
Gunter- Lower Prem
Wes- Good Champ
Wilson- Good Champ
Lynch- Poor Champ/ 1
Perch- Good versatile Champ
Cohen- Mid Prem
Moose- Potentially lower prem but mid champ now
Raddy- Potentially mid Prem- no doubt technically
Tyson- Lower champ/ possibly super sub top champ
McGugan- As a starter lower champ. Lower prem super sub
Mccleary- At present lower champ/div 1 starter. He could develop to prem but who knows
Mckenna- Captain fantastic- top champ. 1 more season left.
Ando- Top champ/ on a good day low prem
Dele- Div 1 starter/ Impact mid champ
Earnie- With the right partner decent prem
Dex- Top champ will struggle in prem
Garner- Lower champ

If this holds true, we basically need about 5 players to survive/do ok in the prem.
1 LB
At least 1 CB
Left winger
1Top striker to compliment earnie
Holding midfielder to give mckenna a rest now and then

Outlay 18 million

A lot of course depends on chance. Moose, Ando, Mcgugan and even Mccleary may eventually become very good consistant players. But then again they may stay the same or become worse. ...Interesting times.

Because he is a talented young player who has the potential to develop into a Prem player. Some people seem to forget that players develop and learn, especially when they are young. McGugan is another young player who has talent and potential, but I fear his attitude may be what prevents him from making the step up.

I suppose Mcgoldrick could develop, he sits too deep even when he's playing lone striker it's probably why i don't rate him. I always forget how young he is.

It's impossible to say. Quite frankly some very good Championship players have failed to do well when given their chance in the Premiership, whilst other, maybe lesser-thought-of players, have been excellent when given the opportunity.
