in place of who? Billy has a winning formula so we cant knock what he is doing

I'm not saying pick him in the starting 11 but just mentioning he hasn't been seen of for the last few games,I'm not knocking Billy because i'm very happy of his tactics and team selection.

Just 2/3 players that are rarely seen these days:Lynch
Garner
Perch

But at this moment in time the 3 of them can't displace the current crop that are playing so well.

After McGoldricks performance today Garner must be deserve a shot at some of the away matches.

Saying that, we don't see him day in day out training. Billy does and who the f*** are we to judge what he's doing at the moment!?

I've been wondering what's happened to Garner, It is hard with the team playing so well. But he's a good player as well

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOh! Handbags!

Well Lynch was on the bench yesterday.

Perch and Garner are going to have to work hard in training and bide their time - both have a huge amount of competition for their preferred positions, and that's the way it should be!

I think Garner is a better player than McGoldrick, but who am I to question Billy? Garner is a good player and will get his chance soon enough I think, Davies rates him highly. With six strikers in the squad then some of them were always going to spend time out of the picture.

As for Perch and Lynch, neither offer anything useful to the side and are nothing more than back up. I don't think Perch will play at all, in each position he can play in there are several players ahead of him. Lynch may get more of a chance if we don't sign Shorey or another left-back in January.

Garner is not better than McGoldrick. It seems to me David is the new guy everyone has a dig at... He works alot harder than people give him credit for and technically he is up there as one of the best in our team.

Whereas I agree with him.

Each time I've seen McGoldrick start a game, he has run his arse off, held the ball up well and linked up play.

He gets into dangerous areas and is good both with the ball at his feet and in the air. He does seem to get a lot of stick when it's not needed. He's certainly a better 'physical' option than Garner.

I rate them both quite highly to be honest and I think people forget how young McGoldrick is - he and Garner are exactly the same age.

He might be a better physical option, but Garner is a better footballer. McGoldrick has good feet, but lacks the intelligence and postional sense which Garner has. Garner can score amazing goals and unlock defences with a clever pass or run.

That said, McGoldrick hasn't really had much chance as a proper striker. Would like to see him given a start in a home game.

agree .

I think people miss the point, McGoldrick isn't an out and out striker, he's more of an attacking midfielder, and he plays it well.

So comparing the two is like comparing and orange to a pineapple.

Oranges are better :p

When Garner has been used centrally this season, he has been more of an attacking midfielder than an out and out striker so the comparions are valid.

My aunt who cleans the Admiralty steps, says's that Joe Garner is in my opinion being a naughty boy and Mr Davies has him in detention

Billy probably has simply come to the conclusion that Joe 'potential' Garner just isn't actually that good.

I have just got a text off a mate saying Garner broke a Curfew thats all i'm saying
